2. Something In The Water (new demo, 40%) - more to work on arrangement, layering, additional instruments (guitars, clavinets, etc). After production is finalized, vocals will be recorded.

Midnight Fusic
1. Fuzz Ahmad (30%) - Current arrangement is only <2 mins. Need to finalize structure with my bandmates, then proceed to record drums and bass first.

2. Modus Operandi (75%) - Structure, lyrics and instrumentals are locked in. Live drums and bass has been recorded. Pending vocal and guitar recording - then DONE!

I was also looking to get more into the laidback, psychedelic + r&b feel for one of the songs and made this demo. I really liked this bass sample and just laid down drums and keys over it. The watery keys gives it a little psych vibe, but I think it can be enhanced by layering it more.

Next, I'm looking to add in some clavinets and record guitars. This could open it up to newer sections as well and I really want it to get more intense by the end of it.

Trying to write around the title of the track with a rough melody so far.

This song started instrumentally, from an idea my guitarist had with a repetitive strum and going between 2 chords, along with a rough melody. From this, we jammed out this song roughly for the first time and quickly got down the kind of structure and style we wanted. The guitar itself was very The Strokes-ish, and we wanted to build on that idea for the song as a whole. It's a style that me and my bandmates enjoy but have yet to write a song like it.

The Logic session started with putting down the guitar ideas first. A rough bassline and drum parts were put down just to keep the song running and give us a better idea. From this, we spent a few days figuring out the parts for me and my bassist and the structure of the song as a whole. At this time also, my vocalist wrote over the ideas he and my guitarist had. The idea of the song lyrically is being written from the perspective of waking up in an unfamiliar state - and we just ran with it.

Currently, this is not the final version. The drums and bass are the only studio-recorded instruments so far, and a session will be coming to record new guitars and vocals.
