This picture is important to me because it shows so many things plants are important for. We need plants for food. Plants are used in a lot of medicine. They store carbon dioxide and release oxygen. Plants are vital to your everyday life even if you don't realize it.

I chose this video because of how funny it is to me. The computer talking sounds "silly." It helps me remember it though. It breaks it down step by step and how each step for each process is different. The difference you see is how they compliment each other though. It makes it so much more clear on why they help each other so much.

I think deciduous forests are in trouble. The changing climate temperature will make it harder for this biome to flourish in areas it's currently in. We also like to cut our forests down. Mass forest destruction is slowly destroying this biome as well. Beautiful landscapes being turned in to apartment complexes, condos, shopping centers, etc. We have to be careful or we will destroy the environment around us.

This diagram highlights a few pros and cons of the agricultural revolution. I want to focus on population growth. Domestication of plants led to people living in the same areas crops would grow. That growth in population had some negative effects. Disease spread faster and easier. War over land was common. Soil also got abused in the sense that it would be used and used to grow crops but not tended to in the way it needed. So after the area served its purpose people left. Leaving behind bad soil that couldn't grow anything.

The website states that there is a growing population and people were scared to invest in technology that would help with crop yield and growth. Technology ended up being a huge help to these people and the third revolution helped them see it.

It's extracted from willow tree bark. It can be used for fevers, different pains, headaches, and topically used to treat acne. It also helps the trees! It keeps other plants from growing around the tree that would compete with it for food. Keeping other plants from growing is fascinating to me. That's why I chose Salicylic Acid.

Climate change is happening and if we don't start taking care of the environment it will get worse. Temperatures are rising with the increase in carbon emissions. Ice caps are melting and sea levels are rising. I believe we could easily be looking at a flooded Earth in the next century.
