Sometimes, we talk about those moments, and we become sad, it was just about four years ago, but it feels like now. We still think about our home, people, and belongings, but when we feel that we are safe, everything becomes well. Thinking about self safety is why we were able to escape and succeed, when no much people could be successful and safe their soul. It was difficult, but we would rather live far away from our town than being killed and kidnapped by Isis. At least we are together, and nobody can chase us here in the land of freedom.

As things come together I started looking at the bright side of things and it gives me the strength to move on forward. I learned to takes these illnesses and discouragement to make me stronger. I was more involved with family, church community, and friends. I kept in my heart that they are things in life sometimes that can be disheartened but, can actually give you strength.

I never knew what being a new kid was like and I finally got to see how to deal with all the new situations you encounter. Evan thought my first day of highschool was difficult, I learned the importance of being nice to new kids.  But the nice staff is what helped me get through my first day. One thing is for sure, though. New schools get better.
