I was very interested in sports throughout elementary school and high school and basically joined any school sports team that I could.

I was on the Athletic Council in secondary school and involved in many sports. Our school ran many social/charity events that I was involved in as well such as the 12 hour run, White Pine camp and leadership initiatives.

When I was in high school, I played on the hockey team and the baseball team. I was also on the dance team, and performed in the school plays/musicals.

During my elementary experience I was quite involved in athletic opportunities. One of the most important opportunities presented to me was the ski club. This is a club that has to be championed by a few teachers. Leveled instruction by instructors is provided as well as life tickets for students as well as parent helpers at a discounted price. This was such a fun and affordable opportunity to learn to ski and snowboard and it makes these sports accessible to communities and individuals who maybe could not access it otherwise. As an adult i am always promoting this oppertunity in the schools and i will promote it and champion it in schools i am employed in the future.
