I am a Elementary Education major. My question is what age group should we introduce technology into the classroom? I have heard of certain parents not feeling comfortable with technology being introduce at a young age. What do you think?

I think technology is great for ages Pre-K and up, with moderation of course! I work at a daycare right now and the Pre-K kids learn a lot from educational games and videos online :)

I agree with Regan that moderation is key. While educational games and such can be helpful to their education, I think learning and collaborating in hands-on activities with peers is especially important in younger students.

Technology is a great tool for children that are in Pre-K and up. It is important that we as teachers set boundaries and have taught the children how to use the technology in a respectful manner. If we do so then there should be no problem with children having technology at a young age. I think parents will understand.

I think introducing kids to technology while they are young is great, as long as it isn't too much technology use. Students can use technology to play educational games to help them learn. It is also important to introduce technology into the classroom because it teaches kids how to use it when they get older.

I think it is important to introduce students to technology while they are young. Especially with how much technology is being used in this day and age. It is important for students to learn while they are young because they will use it a lot when they are older. However, It is important to make sure that at the same time students are not becoming too dependent on technology. Try to find a balance between the two.

I think children should start using technology when they are young. Technology is getting more and more advanced and I think it's good for the future generation to be very comfortable using it. I think it could be excessive at a point though

Children are starting to use technology at increasingly younger ages. We are transitioning into an era of technology and our education system needs to follow or it will fall behind. I don't believe there is any age too young for students to be using technology as many of them will already be using it anyway in their daily lives.
