I am so thankful that I was given the opportunity to have you as my teacher. Some of the books we read - especially Siddhartha and Things Fall Apart - still inspire me to this day and determine how I live my life. In your class, creativity was always encouraged and because of that I have been able to go past what I would traditionally be comfortable with and create amazing projects in all kinds of classes.

Huge congratulations on your retirement! I'm so unbelievably fortunate to have been your student at Enloe. In C&C, your passion for English and sharing it with students was such an inspiration. You put so much thought into each story and novel that we read and took the time to explain why it mattered and why we needed to care about it. I absolutely loved your projects as well-you allowed us a creative outlet to express our reactions to these stories and novels and that only helped me more. Then, in senior year you helped me with interview prep for college applications-this meant the world to me. I was your student two years before yet you still cared so much and made extra time outside of school hours to help me. And now, after graduating, I love keeping up with you and your family through Facebook! You have a beautiful family and the cutest grandkids! Dear Mrs. Baldwin,
I don't know where to begin! I love you so much and I am so thankful that I could have you as my 10th grade English teacher. In your class, we did a project in which we had to dwell further into our family ancestry and if it weren't for that project I would not have found out that my ancestors started a village in India! I could not thank you enough for helping me connect with my grandfather and hear his stories about his childhood. I still tell my friends about my time in your class, five years later! Dear Mrs. Baldwin,
Congratulations on your retirement, and your well deserved vacation. Even though we've never knew each other very well, nor was i an official student of yours, i was always pleased and thankful to have received your help when needed. During the time i was a journalist at Enloe, you were one of the people who gave me more reasons to write more, and write what should be shown, and what mattered in your heart. To have integrity and passion in whatever work you create, to have focus and clarity, and always have good taste, no matter the topic. Qualities that a good/great writer should have, especially a journalist, and yet they're easy to forget, but when you have teachers like yourself and Ms. Price, you're better off keeping them close. From Eagle Eye and some of Enloe events and clubs you were a part of or visited, to Journalism camp at UNC-CH, being in you company, and learning whatever lesson you gave at any point in time has always been helpful to anyone that'll listen. And as this page has shown, you've left quite an impression on all of us, one that'll always be apart of our lives. Before I even signed up for your newspaper class, you made time for me. We talked about the impacts of the Board of Education's policies on Enloe students, how controversial news can quickly fade and allow for dangerous decisions to be made without any public protest, and how Enloe students can make a difference on campus, in Wake County, and all over the world. I loved our conversations and greatly appreciated your constant support of my extracurricular pursuits. As an advisor to our newspaper class, you were patient, loving, and wise.
