Mrs. Baldwin, you had a greater impact on my life than I can express in a few simple words. You made my love of the English language –– and learning in general –– burn even brighter, and you inspired me to think critically in ways few other teachers and professors have encouraged me to. You are an incredible woman who has made more than her mark on this world, and I am so happy that you're able to retire with so many eyes looking up at you. Please enjoy your life after Enloe; you deserve only the best, and I can't wait to hear about the other wonderful things you do in the near future. Most of all, thank you for being the passionate, compassionate, and brilliant educator you are. I'm proud to say that I'm pursuing a Linguistics major (with Neuroscience) partly because of you, and that I have your picture (along with those of several other mentors from Enloe) hanging on my wall, to remind me of the strong woman I aim to emulate in every way.

Looking back, I can confidently say that the love you showed through your classroom has inspired me in far-reaching ways. Your English class broadened my mind to think critically and creatively, and truly incited my appreciation for literature and pursuit of creative writing in college. Additionally, your mentorship through Key Club taught me about what it meant to be to a leader: to show kindness, listen and learn from others, be passionate, and remain undeterred on the path toward greater good. The lessons you've taught are powerful and diverse, and have stayed with me for seven years and counting. As I continue to navigate the many roads in life, I know I, like many others, have been remarkably shaped by you. Congratulations on an incredible career, and enjoy your retirement! You deserve it :) Lots of love! <3

In C&C, your passion for English and sharing it with students was such an inspiration. You put so much thought into each story and novel that we read and took the time to explain why it mattered and why we needed to care about it. I absolutely loved your projects as well-you allowed us a creative outlet to express our reactions to these stories and novels and that only helped me more. Then, in senior year you helped me with interview prep for college applications-this meant the world to me. I was your student two years before yet you still cared so much and made extra time outside of school hours to help me. And now, after graduating, I love keeping up with you and your family through Facebook! You have a beautiful family and the cutest grandkids! I hope you have an amazing retirement full of fun and family and love.

Dear Mrs. Baldwin,
Congratulations! I am so excited for you to be able to take a well-deserved break. I know your family will be excited to spend even more time with you, and I am sure you are elated to have more time to watch your cute grandkids grow up. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me. I truly cannot express how much you have taught me. Throughout college and now in law school, I utilize the writing skills you taught me in your English and Journalism classes. Back then I might not have understood or appreciated the importance of writing, but I definitely appreciate it now. More importantly, through your devotion to your students and your job, you showed me the importance of caring for others. I just wanted to let you know that you had a great impact on me, along with so many other students, and I wanted to thank you for that. Enjoy retirement; you deserve it! Sending all my love!

In your class, we did a project in which we had to dwell further into our family ancestry and if it weren't for that project I would not have found out that my ancestors started a village in India! I could not thank you enough for helping me connect with my grandfather and hear his stories about his childhood. I still tell my friends about my time in your class, five years later! You are one of my favorite teachers and someone whom I hold close to my heart. Thank you for teaching me to be passionate in anything I do and to strive to reach my goals.I will always remember your C&C class :) I love you so much and congratulations you on your retirement! Go Heels!

Dear Mrs. Baldwin,
Congratulations on your retirement, and your well deserved vacation. Even though we've never knew each other very well, nor was i an official student of yours, i was always pleased and thankful to have received your help when needed. During the time i was a journalist at Enloe, you were one of the people who gave me more reasons to write more, and write what should be shown, and what mattered in your heart. To have integrity and passion in whatever work you create, to have focus and clarity, and always have good taste, no matter the topic. Qualities that a good/great writer should have, especially a journalist, and yet they're easy to forget, but when you have teachers like yourself and Ms. Price, you're better off keeping them close. From Eagle Eye and some of Enloe events and clubs you were a part of or visited, to Journalism camp at UNC-CH, being in you company, and learning whatever lesson you gave at any point in time has always been helpful to anyone that'll listen. And as this page has shown, you've left quite an impression on all of us, one that'll always be apart of our lives. Congratulations on your retirement, and thank you for your wonderful wisdom and friendship.

Dear Mrs. Baldwin,
Congratulations on your retirement! It's hard to find the words to express how much of an impact you've had on me as a student. All I can say is I'm so thankful for your constant love and support as an English teacher who encouraged me to look for the deeper meanings behind works and inspired me to pursue my passions. But also as someone to come to at any time of the day to talk about the meaning of life and the up's and down's. I'll never forget the exciting, inspiration stories of your past. Thank you for tolerating all of my long, passionate rants about existentialism, for encouraging me to thinking about life from a more worldly perspective, and always knowing what to say when the future feels scary. Thank you so much for everything you've done for me, especially believing in me. I'll always cherish your sweet presence and gentle wisdom. Keep in touch! I hope you have an amazing, relaxed retirement with your beautiful family. Love, Akanksha.

Mrs. Baldwin,
Before I even signed up for your newspaper class, you made time for me. We talked about the impacts of the Board of Education's policies on Enloe students, how controversial news can quickly fade and allow for dangerous decisions to be made without any public protest, and how Enloe students can make a difference on campus, in Wake County, and all over the world. I loved our conversations and greatly appreciated your constant support of my extracurricular pursuits. As an advisor to our newspaper class, you were patient, loving, and wise. Your mentorship helped me improve my writing, my interview skills, and my confidence. I know the teaching world will miss you when you retire. Students will feel your absence, as will Enloe as a whole. After so many years of your commitment to students and education, you deserve to rest, relax, enjoy your family, and do what makes you happiest. Congratulations on your retirement! Love you and thank you for all the work you have done as an educator.

I loved having you as a teacher - in fact, you were one of the people who I thought of when deciding what I wanted to pursue in college and in the future - you've definitely changed my life, and I am so very grateful for that! Your C&C class was the most interesting class I took at Enloe, purely because we learned so much about other cultures throughout history in such an interactive and multi-faceted way! In fact, I have used some of the things you taught us and some of your examples when designing curricula for K-12 students now! I really appreciate the impact that you've had on my life and on those of all your students, and I hope you enjoy this well deserved retirement! We all love you very much!
