This event reminded me of the movie “Holes” where the main character is a prisoner working at a work camp presumed to have stolen something. The fact that that was presumed reminded me about how every single person at the trial already presumed it was Steve how murdered mr. Nesbitt. He had no say on the crime that was committed or neither was treated fairly by the American justice law.

Steve Harmon is black and is in jail for the murder of Alguinaldo Nesbitt. He is on trial and might go to prison forever. His defendant Kathy O’Brien has doubts about his his innocence and his prosecutor, Sandra Petrocelli is trying to prove that Steve is the culprit of the murder. He names this book after what the prosecutor called him, “Monster”. The witnesses presented in these two parts are mr. Zinzi and mr. Bolden being both prisoners and Osvaldo who participated in the robbery. However, none of these testimonies prove Steve is innocent and the trial is not getting any better for Steve
