I learned how different countries have different views on it and some don't know anything about it. and its cool how this ties into place with that sense of different places knowing different things. There are different views. Most countries thought that it was unnecessary where as the US teaches that it turned everything around for the allies.

I learned about how many different views there are on the atomic bomb. I learned that the majority of the countries who talk about the atomic bomb believe that it was unnecessary and wrong. They believe that it is wrong because it killed innocent people. I learned that the other countries view the atomic bomb very differently that what I was taught when I was younger.

The article shows a lot of different perspectives, and I think that these unique perspectives from around the world are necessary in teaching students about the bomb. In many different countries, the atomic bombs are only brought up briefly and if they were to mention the bombs all the teachers said was that the bombs ended WWII and/or the second bomb was unnecessary. This differs from what I was taught because there was a whole section dedicated to the atomic bomb. We talked about both possibilities the U.S. could've taken and the outcomes of the option they did take. I learned from the article that not many countries talk about the atomic bomb as thoroughly as we do.

When I was reading I saw the major casualties that the bomb left and the people that were affected. Today, I learned about the different views that people have about the Hiroshima bombing and all of the death and destruction it left behind. And which still affects parts of the world today.

There were a lot of different variations of the same general ideas. The countries that had more of a role in the war had more in depth views. For instance Greece which had very little role to play learned only that the bombs were dropped to end the war, and that's all. The U.S. and Japanese views were much more in depth and took more time to learn about what happened and how it was affected. Overall the U.S. teaches it was a "necessary evil" while recognizing its inhuman effects. and Japan teaches it as a completely "unnecessary evil."

I learned that countries around the world have different perspectives on the atomic bomb and have different teachings on it. The article shows the different views of countries and how they feel about it. Many people in the US feel that the bombing was justified and that it saved many lives along with ending the war quickly. In Japan, it is taught that the bomb was unnecessary and harmful to many people in the country. Today, the bombing or Hiroshima and Nagasaki is still controversial.
