IN order to be successful in 8th grade you must always do your work and pay attention in class and answer questions. Some teacher might be annoying and getting on your nerves  but you just have to deal with it.  You will learn alot of things this year. in ELA, we learned about this time period that is called the holocaust. You have to pay attention while learning because it will help you better to understand what the class or teacher is doing instead of sitting there being confused you will have an idea on what to do. One thing you will enjoy is the last day of school. You will go on a cruise around Manhattan. The high school admission process is alot of work and alot of  thinking to do. You might not even get accepted to your first choice you might get accepted to your second or third you never know but choose your top three and just keep up the good work. You will learn about ww2 which is really interesting because its so fun. you will write vignettes in ELA and will learn how to write with sensory details. the process is tough but fun, good luck.

Its kinda scary because you never know what school your gonna get into and you might not get into your first choice just because. You also need to have good grades to get into the school of your choice. In order to be successful in 8th grade you must do your hw and classwork or YOU will fail and you must study to pass your test. In ElA and social studies are related in 8th grade a lot because we learn about the same thing but do different projects on that topic. The most interesting topic this year was learning about the holocaust and writing your own story about it.

I advise you to do your homework every single night. It is very important because you can get caught behind.One of the most interesting things you will do this year is applying for high school. It´s very hard but you can get support from a lot of people. The High school admissions process is very hard but you will appreciate it later in the school year. MBA picked me to go to the high school and I went to the open house and I knew that this high school was right for me. CAS took me there and it fit my requirements for high school. My requirements for high school were no uniform, get out early, and go outside for lunch.

It is difficult because you have to pick 8-12 high schools to apply to and go to their open houses. The admissions process is also very unfair. It is unfair because once you get accepted by a school you have to go to that school and all the other school that you applied to will never see your application. If you don´t want to get into a bad school pick only schools you want to get into. Pick only good schools because you can get accepted into any one of them.

In order to be successful in the 8th grade you must be prepared for every class and have a good spirit at least try to have one. The information you learn in your courses this year will be about the world and math. It is important that you pay attention when learning because you will know more things. The most interesting is the ice skating trip. The high school admissions process was hard because I had to choose between Cardinal Hayes or Mount Saint Micheals. So I went to both schools to visit and Cardinals Hayes was better because it had more details and a good football team. Anyways the process is tough and good luck.

When you apply for a high school make sure you go through you book carefully and choose a school that you like. In science we have a lot of  projects so don't be absent. It will kinda be hard to make up the work. Also you probably won't have art anymore it will be replaced by language class and typing. Typing is boring

Also you have to keep your grades up all quarter because high schools are always looking at your grades and you also want to get into your first high school you chose. When high school admissions start it is very hard because all the time. Personally everything worked out with me because I got into my first choice, by having a good grades and a good attitude.

Pay very close attention to class because sometimes there would be hard things that would be thrown at you and the skills you need to smack it away is taught to you by the teachers. When you start to apply for high schools make sure you know the high school and that you like it. When the high school admission process start you will be given a book a big one with hundreds of high schools and the process to apply for a high school is exactly the same as for middle school. When you start to apply for high schools make sure you picked the ones you liked and when I applied i didn't get into my first high school  but  third but  I liked it.
