In this blog i am going to look at the company 'Apple'. Apple specialise in technology and produce products that are highly popular. On the other hand they are extremly unethical; there have been a variety of articles implying that Apples standards are ridiculously low in . They then demonstrate this with reports of poor conditions; they even persist to unpay the employees for required overtime. On top pf this they have been accused of discriminating when hiring employees. I am disgusted by this unprofessionalism because i feel that everyone should be treted equally and should be judged by thier achievements - not what they look like! Would you want to be judged on your appearence?

Ironically I feel strongly about this; yet I'm writing this blog on my iPad. Businesses use iPads to function easier due to the fact they are so portable. Even though they know about Apple and it's ethics they still purchase thier products - is this immorally wrong?

Apple has major ethical concerns. One concern that came to my attention is the China sweatshop that involves/affects the sakeholders (the stakeholders in this situation are the employees). From a article I have discovered it states 'Inside Apple's Chinese 'sweatshop' factory where workers are paid just £1.12 per hour to produce iPhones and iPads for the West'. This is disgusting and extremely unethical; this has a major affect on the stakeholders (employees) lifestyle. Not being able to to go to the toilet and work straight for 16 hours is outrageous - this can cause a variety of health problems. Also it's not that they have luxurious conditions the conditions exceedpoor . Health issues that are picked up cannot be treated because they can't afford it with the pay they get. This also can affect other stakeholders in other ways, For example the local community to these factories polluting the area.

So i discovered a thing called 'Tin mining' in Indonesia. These people risk thier life to supply tin to Apple so they can make thier products. To make things worse they make children dig into cliffs; if they dig to far then the cliff will collapse... It's inevitable. This is thier job! They must perceiver as much as possible to providefor themselves/family. Even if its a little they wont stop, they dont realise the cliff could fall. They need to be payed a hell of a lot more considering they are risking thier life. This is ruining the environment as the earth is being teared apart for the need of man. Other stakeholders (such as customers) could find this offensive and also be furious by the fact children are risking thier life.

Apple need to change thier ways! They need to abide by the rules. They are the biggest technology organisation and Apple has broke the previous quarterly record of $15.9 billion they achieved $18 billion profit the but yet can't pay thier employees minimum wage. Samsung (Apples top competitor) aim to be one of the most ethical businesses. How can Apple even compare themselves if they are not ethical at all; yet Samsung focus to be ethical to he best of thier ability.

I have discovered a in-depth articles on ethical behaviour. Within this article it states “pressure to meet unrealistic business objectives and deadlines.” causes ethical behaviour. I believe that this is accurate because Apple might feel that they must beat thier sales every year. So they can become the best; they then have undertaken ilegal actions to accomplish this.If this was to change It will affect Apple in a negative way becuase they would have a lot more expenses to pay out for. For example paying thier employes at least above minum wage. Changing this would contribute to ethical behaviour

Apple got to a point that it was so bad that people wanted to commit suicide; this socked the wrld and people had extremely opinionated responses. Whereas Apples mission statement is based on thier products; they havent mentioned what they can give to the world or how they can help thier customers. Samsung will achieve thier goals while supporting whats around them, making the world a better place. On the other hand Apple will achieve thier goals by destroying others and focusing on being the best.
