As the planet warms, extreme and unpredictable weather events become more common. In the US alone, these sorts of weather events cost billions of dollars and innumerable lives each year. The world's poor are most vulnerable to the extreme weather, droughts, and sea level rise brought by climate change. Thus the term "climate chaos" is used to refer to the unpredictability of climate change and it's inequitable impacts.

We'll also need to decrease our consumption and shift to a more equitable and ecological food system. All of this will require individuals to shift their habits and support climate policies. Right now, only 37% of Americans think that climate change should be a top national priority. Only 54% believe that climate change is a major threat.
