Hi everyone, in this blog I'm going to tell and illustrate four places where I went during my holidays.

Pietra Ligure

Pietra Ligure is a pretty city in Liguria. Every year I spend there my holidays for two weeks in July with my grandparents , my sister and my friends. Pietra Ligure is a pleasant village with 9.000 people but in summer it’s full of tourists. It’s very quiet but there are many young people. This is exactly why my friends and I have fun. I love the beach because there is a fine sand and a lot of seaside resorts. I advice you “Bagni Villa Paolina da Umberto”. It’s great for teenagers and fun. In the morning and in the afternoon I went down to the beach with my friends and we swam, played ping-pong or played table football. In the evening we went out because there were many things for young people such as parties in the square, parties in the beach or we went to the Luna Park. In Pietra Ligure there are many restaurants for eat fish such as : “Molo 56, Locanda Nelli and La Svolta 2” and if you like pizza there are many pizzerias such as : “Da Mimmo, Burro e Salvia and La Gioconda”. There are other places where you can have lunch or dinner but I write you which ones are the best for me. If you are taking a walk downtown you absolutely have to go to the ice cream shop “Tentazione”. Enjoy yourself!

Ospedaletti

Ospedaletti is a small and pretty city in Liguria. It is near the France so I went there when I came back from the Gorges of the Verdon river. I stayed in Ospedaletti 1 day with my family. It is a city very quiet but is very beautifull. I was there for short time so I don’t know what are the attractions of the city. There aren’t many places to visit but for people that love sports there is a beach volleyball court, a tennis court , a football pitch and a long cycleway. From Ospedaletti you can arrive at the famous city of Sanremo very quickly. If you love eating fish you absolutely must have lunch or dinner at “Byblos”, an elegant restaurant overlooking the sea that makes delicious dishes. Enjoy your meal!

Crissolo

Crissolo is a small and mountain village in Piemonte in the north of Italy. It is at the foot of Monviso. In Crissolo there is a restaurant where you can eat the typical dishes : “La Spiaggia”. There are two pizzerias: “La Capanna and la Serenella” and some hotels. From Crissolo you can go to Pian del Re where the river Po takes its source. The most beautiful hikes in the Monviso park start from Pian del Re. From there you can reach on foot Rifugio Giacoletti, Rifugio Quintino Sella, Buco di Viso and a lot of lakes such as Chiaretto, Fiorenza, Lausetto and Superiore. Rifugio Giacoletti is the highest refuge in the park and it is the start point of many climbing routes. Rifugio Quintino Sella is one of the oldest refuges in the Alps. You can start your ascent to Monviso from here. You can also visit Rio Martino Cave. It is very rich in stalactites and stalagmites, but it isn’t lit up so torches are indispensable. I advice you to visit the local shops. The people that live in Crissolo are very friendly and welcoming. Enjoy your stay!

Gorges of the Verdon river

The deep Gorges of the Verdon river are the largest and the most impressive canyon in Europe. They are located in the Provence, in the south of France. I stayed there in August and I advice you to visit them. There is a wonderful panorama: an emerald-green river, walls and cliffs, an uncontaminated nature and roads that run along the gorges. It’s a paradise for people that love trekking and water sports such as rafting, canyoning and canoeing. You can admire breathtaking landscapes by bicycle, motorbike or car and you can use two scenic roads. Here there are a lot of belvederes and viewpoints of the canyon to take beautiful photos and have wonderful views such as Point Sublime or Belvedere Couloir Samson. You can walk along the river too. You can reach the Sainte-Croix lake and you can rent windsulf board, kayaks or rowin boat to explore the lake or to sail up the Verdon river. In the city of Aiguines you can walk along the Galetas bridge and you can see the most beautiful lake of the Provence where the Verdon river flows. Have a good time!
