My brother Will was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF) really early in her life. My brother wasn't as fortunate to be able to live a "normal" life but he powers through it. He didn't let his CF stop him from playing baseball and football. Also he didn't let CF stop him from accomplishing his dreams. Ever since he was little he dreamed about going to the University of Notre Dame, and he did it. He shows me how to get through difficult times. We constantly fight but everyone does. Will and I have a special connection because we connect through our medical issues. Strange I know but I remember once my brother and I got into a huge fight. Later on that day Will ended up having to go to Children's Hospital. I immediately made my dad drive me to go see him. Although this sounds cheesy we really bonded at this exact moment. I thanked God that my brother was going to be okay. A said before my brother was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. My sister, Becca, has been diagnosed with Down syndrome and my other sister, Cassie, has apraxia. My dad has recently had some struggles with some blood clots, sadly it is a genetic medical issue so my brother obtained the same things and the rest of us need to be tested. Also, in 2000 my parents were supposed to have a little girl named Samantha. Unfortunately, she died at birth. As you can tell, my family has been through a lot, but as a family we power through all of these things together. In first grade my friend, Katie, invited me to sit with her at mass. I remember being really excited because I thought we could talk all mass like I did with my other friends, but that wasn't the case. Being bored out of my mind I remember we had to kneel which I hated. While we were kneeling Katie turned to me and said,"This is the coolest part!" I looked at her puzzled. Then she turned to her mom and said,"This is the part when the bread gets turned into Jesus right?" I had never thought of mass like that. I never fully understood why we went to mass if we had religion classes and because we couldn't receive communion yet. Now, I'm not going to lie, I complain about going to church occasionally. I have a friend that attends a morning lecture from 6-7 Monday through Friday. She willingly does this. How can I complain about going to mass at 9 once a week when my friend gets up at 5 every school day to go to hear about her beliefs. It amazes me that someone so young can have such a strong connection to their faith. She would've been almost exactly a year older then me. Although I never got to meet her that doesn't mean she can't impact my view and thoughts on my faith. She never got to live life the way she could've. God has a plan for my family and for me and this was part of it. When I was little I was always told I had a guardian angel constantly by my side (and my parents say I got out of trouble through my guardian angel). I always believed my guardian angle was my sister. She will protect me from bad experiences and help me make good decisions. I do slip up though and I take responsibility and I think about how my sister and I would be close in age so we make the mistakes together. My guardian angel has never left me even though at certain times it may seem like it. I know Samantha has never left my side even if she isn't my guardian angel because family never leaves-we are stuck with each other forever. The first song is Soldier by Before You Exit. This song talks about how you will always have someone by your side kind of like how my brother is always by my side and my guardian angel(explained in My Brother and Life and Death).
The second song is Don't Be a Fool by Shawn Mendes. This song  talks about not being fake and not fully trusting someone. This relates to my experience at mass(explained in The Mass That Changed my View of Church). 
The final song is Photograph by Ed Sheeran. This song feels empowering to me because the song talks about how you have struggles, you still fight.
