The Catholic means that you are with Jesus when you are anywhere you live or where your are at any church.

  The Lasallian means being respectful to different people and being kind to others, helping each other, and being who you are what you are.  Lasallian means be loving caring giving.

The Blackfeet means that we like to run and hunt for buffalo and we all talk Indian. We also pray. But three things that are facts is one being LaSallian is being respectful and kind, fact number two being Catholic means you're with God and you pray, fact number three being Blackfeet means that you run and hunt for buffaloes and talk Indian. This is what it means to catholic, Blackfeet, Lasallian.

Sweat lodge and going to ceremonies it means to me to cary on the tradition of the people who lives before we have a language it means that you are apart of something that if you are ever alone in life you will always have your ancestors with you its different cuz others who never new there ancestors probably can not pray to them if there ever alone growing up here shows me that being blackfeet it is who i am.
We go to a catholic school but we still pray in blackfeet we learn stuff like respect our elders and the kids who were here before us they probably learned  the same thing we both learn about creator and what he did like create us and the ground we live on i think the why they are similar is by we both pray   .

What it means to be blackfeet is it realy depends on the story you have heard and how you have grew up. I think that growing up in browning having this type of culture as really helped me find out who i am. Last year i would go to sweat lodges with my dad and it was really cool because i got learn more about my culture. Growning up in browning has made me closer to my culture and family. Feel like if i lived in a big place i would be a whole different person and most of my friends i have known my whole life. But my culture is a big part of that because when we were all little we s=would count in blackfeet and dance together. Just like in elementary for christmas we would owl dance and most of us was nervous and scared but im glad that they made us do that because now we could teach younger kids and pass down the dances and it helps to keep our culture alive. We may not notice it but the little things our elders teach us help us rember the stories just so we can pass them down to our kids one day and to keep this culture alive. Being blackfeet is about passing stories down and keeping our culture alive.

What it means to be Blackfeet is to believe in all things even if it's not possible. Being Blackfeet and living in a reservation is pretty fun because there's no one really there to judge you for your race or question you and ask, “Do you guys still live in tipis?!” or something like that. Most of the people dont but sometimes people just ask really stupid questions that dont make that much sense. We have a thing in the summertime that lasts about 3-4 days and its called indian days. Indian days are kind of fair, but there's hardly any rides. There's a whole bunch of food though, all of the food is very very good and there's also dancing. There's so many types of different dances like the grass dance, jingle dress, and the chicken dance. I have no idea what the other ones are but there's a lot. What it means to grow up here is many things. Growing up here being blackfeet is great because you don't even have to pay medical bills! I really liked growing up here because it was small but I wish browning was a bit bigger and had a target or something. Everytime we have to go grocery shopping for a lot of stuff we have to go out of town and I just want to stay in town and shop. It's different from other peoples' experiences because I'm sure they don't have to go out of town every time they have to go grocery shopping for something. They can also just get up and go to Taco Bell but we only have stinky taco johns and subway. But that's okay and i like going out of town. Anyways, growing up here has done great things for me like giving me a good education, getting to learn about my culture, and learning about blackfoot history. It showed that I need to be respectful to my elders and everyone else because being disrespectful is rude and inconsiderate of the people's feelings. I love being blackfeet and this is all what it means to be blackfoot. 

Being blackfeet and catholic at the same time is something amazing… I don't really know how to explain the feelings of being both but it's great. They Are similar because they're both really important and it kinda teaches you how to be respectful. Both of them have a certain God and the Blackfoot tribe believes that Napi is our creator, but in the bible it says that God is our God. I guess it's kinda complicated having to have two Gods in your life and how it says in the ten commandments, “Do not have any other Gods before me” and Napi is another God in our beliefs so- but I think of it as having two people that care deeply about you and they're always there for you. We can learn from both traditions and history from both of them though. Napi wasn't the best person and he made some mistakes but he's still sorta a role model, he makes us learn from our mistakes like he did. God has made some mistakes like Adam and Eve, they ate the apple from the tree when God specifically told them not to but I guess that wasn't really God's fault. They both have stories to explain to the world and show what kind of people they were and from those stories they bring our community together and makes us become stronger and better people.
I think how you could live your best life is just to be more out there and spread the word about God and Napi and how much they both help us to be in communion. I also think going to De La Salle will greatly impact your beliefs about God and Napi, just being here for four years has made my faith stronger. Dlsbs is a great school and it has helped me in so many different ways, it made me the person I am today. It has also made my wisdom in the blackfeet culture grow. I didn't know that much about my culture before i went to Dlsbs but now that I did I know a lot more.

As a blackfeet i can feel proud to be me and i can love myself to know i am part of a big family i can learn something from my family they tell me stories and things i can learn as growing up i can become someone amazing and do something amazing but as a blackfeet i can do some incredible.These two things fit together because as a chatholic and blackfeet you can learn something from them and you have a big family and you can become a great person from them and you can do a lot of amazing things a growing into a adult and you can hear a lot of cool stories
