*These are activities I did before the pandemic, I would use other activities before the following here due to the pandemic rules*

Telephone: 

Seat students in a circle. The teacher (sub or student leader) draws a rhythm card from the stack. That person looks at the card, while everyone taps a steady beat on their laps. The leader/sub whispers the pattern in their neighbor's ear. The pattern is passed around the circle until the last person has said the pattern. Then reveal the card to the class. The last person becomes the leader.
