Hello, my name is Mohammed Mustafa Hussein. I am a PhD student in the Department of Structural Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in Hungary. My research focuses on structural and earthquake engineering, with particular interest in improving the safety, resilience, and sustainability of structures under seismic loading. I am especially interested in innovative structural analysis and design approaches that can enhance the performance of buildings and infrastructure in earthquake-prone regions. Coming from Yemen and studying internationally has motivated me to contribute to engineering solutions that support safer and more sustainable communities.

With the growing challenges related to urban development and natural hazards, I believe it is essential to advance modern engineering technologies and research methodologies to create resilient and efficient structural systems for the future.

Heey! My name is Marie Odehnalová and I am a PhD student at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Brno University of Technology in the Czech Republic.

My research focuses on the environmental assessment of natural building materials, especially unfired clay, using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). I am particularly interested in evaluating both the environmental impacts of building materials, such as Global Warming Potential (GWP), and their influence on indoor environmental quality and microclimate. My work explores how natural and locally available materials can contribute to healthier, more sustainable, and low-impact buildings.

In my free time, I enjoy folklore dancing, horseback riding or just spending time in nature. I am looking forward to meeting everyone in Bratislava! 🫶
