Our students introduced themselves, showed their Christmas cards, admired Christmas decorations and festive activities at school, sang songs and wished each other for Christmas and New Year. For the remaining time we tried to play a Kahoot game.

A long time ago in Silesia there were many coal mines where miners worked hard for money. One day, a young boy, named Karlik came to the mine. He was only 14 years old. As the oldest of the brothers, Karlik had to support his family and go to work. It was dark and scary. Karlik worked with the help from the old miner. In the clear underground corridors lived the spirit of the mine called Skarbnik. During day and at night he guarded the mine's secrets and the treasure hidden underground. He helped hardworking miners like Karlik. Karlik got paid good money for his work. Karlik glad of the old miner's help wanted to share some money with him. The old miner smiled and said: Karlik you are a good worker. You are hardworking and kind to others. Suddenly the old miner dissapeard in the darkness. He occured to be the miner's spirit Skarbnik. Very tired Karlik wanted to have a rest after a hard day at work. He went home and lived happily with his family. The story with a happy end.
