Cyrus the great was a man who conquered Babylon. He was the king and he decided that something needed to change. As a consequence he gave freedom for all the slaves. Moreover, he proclamed that everyone had the freedom to choose their religion and ideas. This idea was fast spreaded
He wrote those ideas on a clay cylinder as a type of declaration of Human Rights.

Everything began in the Bastille, in where politic prisioners went because the king didnt want to the ideas to spread all around. As a consequence, the revolutionaries went to the Bastille to get them back. They started protesting to have equality and liberty of thinking, the motto of the revolt was "Liberty, Equality and Fraternity", this tried to promote their ideals on rights. After the revolt people made a declaration that proclamed rights of man.
As for example, that  "Men are born and remain free and equal in rights", this being that everyone is equal.

However there is still people who don't get to use them, who dont get to take them as something of every day life because they dont have them, as there are million of children dying from hunger, people who cant express what they think and get on prision for expressing their ideas, people who is illegaly enslaved, people who doesnt have access to education as they should (thats what the declaration proclames) . This was because at the beginning the UN didn't had the force to become the rights a law so is still something optional.

She was a delegate from the united nations on 1946. Also she was awarded with the United Nations Human Rights Prize.
