Whether you reveal what is in your hearts or conceal it, Allah will call you to account for it. He forgives whoever He wills and punishes whoever He wills. And Allah is Most Capable of everything. They ˹all˺ believe in Allah, His angels, His Books, and His messengers. ˹They proclaim, ˺ “We make no distinction between any of His messengers.” And they say, “We hear and obey. ˹We seek˺ Your forgiveness, our Lord! And to You ˹alone˺ is the final return.” [2:285]

Allah does not require of any soul more than what it can afford. All good will be for its own benefit, and all evil will be to its own loss. ˹The believers pray,˺ “Our Lord! Do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord! Do not place a burden on us like the one you placed on those before us. Our Lord! Do not burden us with what we cannot bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our ˹only˺ Guardian. So grant us victory over the disbelieving people.” [2:286]

Rasulullah Sallallahu'alaihiwasallam said: Islam is that you bear witness (testimony) that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and you should establish prayer, give zakat, fast in the month of Ramadan and perform Hajj to the House if you are able to do it.

We should believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the last day and you should believe in Allah’s destiny of good and bad. Prophet know all things but not the supernatural . For instance, when Jibril asked him when the supernatural will occur and prophet “said No one who is asked knows more than the person asking”. The prophet state the situation that closer to the supernatural is (أَنْ تَلِدَ الْأَمَةُ رَبَّتَهَا )When the slave girl gave birth to her master. Meaning, the master is a woman. In another narration it is mentioned (ربها) which is the male master. The desired meaning here is: Among the signs of doomsday is the increase in the maintenance of female slaves and sexual relations with them based on the law of slavery. Then they (female slaves) gave birth to children who were free like their fathers. The position of the slave girl's children born from her master is the same as her master's, because the father's property will be inherited and the child's. Therefore, he became the master of the slave girl (her mother) from this point of view. The second view is (يَتَطَاوَلُونَ فِي الْبُنْيَانِ ) Race to build buildings. In other words, they build high buildings because of pride and arrogance. Last but not least , فَلَبِثْت مَلِيًّا . Then or wait a few days. I mean, I waited for a long time. The meaning here is that I disappeared from the Prophet Sallallahu'alaihiwasallam for three nights as mentioned in other narrations. Then I met His Majesty Sallallahu'alaihiwasallam

Honoring parents: Al Qamar story

From Al Qamar story, a companion of the Prophet SAW , As he was nearing his death, Al-Qamar struggled and was unable to recite the Shahadah (Lā ilāha illallāh), something every Muslim fears at the time of death. When the Prophet SAW heard about his condition, he inquired whether Al-Qamar’s parents were still alive. He find out that his mother still alive, but she was deeply hurt because Al-Qamar had prioritized his wife over her. Even when the Prophet SAW urged her to forgive her son, she initially refused. The Prophet then warned that if she did not forgive him, Al-Qamar would be consumed by fire. Only after hearing this did she soften her heart and grant him forgiveness. Immediately after receiving his mother’s forgiveness, Al-Qamar was able to recite the Shahadah before passing away.

Actually, when we make our parents hurt with our behavior, our deeds not being accepted. So, we need always ask them forgiveness every day because we never know when we die.

Manner toward Neighbours and society

One of the best examples of good manners toward neighbors and society is the story of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and a blind Jewish man. Every day, this man will insults and curse prophet SAW, not realizing that the very person who fed him with kindness was none other than the Prophet himself but prophet never get anger with that man . Instead he continued to feed him patiently. When prophet SAW passed away , sayyidina ali take over to feed him . He notice like somethings wrong not as usual .Suddently he ask , “Who used to feed me before this?” And sayyidina ali said that is prophet SAW . He was shocked to heard that and he get into Islam. This story teaches us that kindness toward neighbors and society should not depend on how they treat us. The Prophet SAW showed that good character and patience can soften even the hardest hearts. We should strive to practice kindness, patience, and compassion in our interactions, even with those who may not treat us well.

The Prophet SAW and the Jewish Man Who Threw Garbage

There was a Jewish man who threw garbage in front of the Prophet’s house every day, but the Prophet never got angry. One day, prophet notice that there’s no garbage anymore in front of his house. He is being concern why there’s no garbage as usual. He finds out about health condition of that man and knowing that he is sick. Instead of feeling relieved or happy, the Prophet visited him to check on his well-being. The Jewish man was deeply touched by this act of kindness, realizing that the person he had been treating poorly was actually someone of great character. Moved by the Prophet’s compassion, he accepted Islam.

This story highlights the importance of patience, kindness, and forgiveness, even towards those who may mistreat us. The Prophet SAW taught that the best way to change hearts is not through anger or revenge but through love and good character.

Manner in seeking knowledge/ as student

Story about Imam Shafi’i

Imam Shafi’i was a great scholar known for his thirst for knowledge. When he wanted to learn from Imam Malik, he traveled to meet him. However, upon reaching Imam Malik’s house, he did not enter immediately. Instead, he waited outside patiently, not wanting to disturb his teacher.

Imam Malik eventually noticed him and was surprised. He asked, “Why didn’t you come in? Didn’t you travel all this way to learn?” Imam Shafi’i humbly replied, “I didn’t want to disturb my teacher.”

Moral of the Story:

This story teaches us the importance of respecting our teachers, as knowledge carries blessings when learned with humility and adab. Imam Shafi’i’s deep respect for his teacher reminds us that knowledge is not just about learning facts but also about having the right attitude and manners toward those who teach us.

Imam Shafi’i always observed Imam Malik carefully and paid close attention to everything he did. He never spoke unless Imam Malik gave him permission, and if he didn’t understand something, he would first try to figure it out himself before asking.

Even when Imam Malik’s opinions differed from his own, Imam Shafi’i still listened with full attention and respect. He didn’t interrupt or argue but instead tried to understand Imam Malik’s perspective. Despite his vast knowledge, he remained humble and never let arrogance take over.

Moral of the Story:

This story teaches us the proper etiquette in seeking knowledge—to listen attentively, ask only when necessary, and respect our teachers’ opinions even if we don’t fully agree. True wisdom comes not just from learning but from having humility and an open heart in the pursuit of knowledge.

-sometimes we will ask toward ourselves "when we perform an ibadah what we will gain?"

As we know, Niat is a vital thing that we must have before we perform something in our life. For instance, when we want to take wudhuk, we must have niat first before we proceed it. as we know in Hadis Bukhari:

-إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ وَإِنَّمَا لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى فَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى دُنْيَا يُصِيبُهَا أَوْ إِلَى امْرَأَةٍ يَنْكِحُهَا فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى مَا هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِ T
"Verily, actions are judged by intentions, and each person will get what they intended. So whoever migrates for Allah and His Messenger, his migration is for Allah and His Messenger. But whoever migrates for worldly gain or to marry a woman, his migration is for what he migrated for."
Source:

https://dailymuslim.id/insight/hadits/hadits-tentang-niat-innamal-amalu-binniyat-teks-arab-artinya/

-the Hadith above tell us about, The Importance of Intention in Every Action. Allah evaluates our actions based on our inner intentions, not just outward appearance. Next, Sincerity is the Key to Acceptance. An action done sincerely for Allah, even if simple, carries immense value in His sight. Lastly, Intentions Define the Value of Actions. Two people may perform the same act, but the one with a sincere intention will be rewarded differently.

Hikmah that we will gain is, our life becomes peace because Allah with us. If we take care of our prayers, Allah will protect us from wrongdoing and immorality.
But if we still commit sins even though we pray, then there may be something wrong with how we perform our prayer. In every act of worship, we must apply Ihsan in ourselves. Ihsan means worshipping Allah as though we see Him and even if we do not see Him, we know that He sees us.

Even when we study, we should practice Ihsan. When it comes to worship, we must follow the Qur'an and Sunnah. So, we can avoid any misperception in performing ibadah. We cannot worship based on our own desires or make up our own ways.
