She moved to what was then called Mandatory Palestine in 1939. During World War II, she joined a British group that worked with local resistance fighters against the Nazis. In 1944, she parachuted into Europe to help save Jews in Hungary. Unfortunately, she was captured, tortured, and killed by the Nazis. Despite this, she is remembered as a hero and is honored for her courageous actions and inspiring poetry, especially in Israel
