Like a piggy bank. You accumulate and accumulate coins until it gets full, and then you spend it and you can now store more coins. In reality, you collect all the times you were shy and embarrassed, and then at a certain age you figure out that some of them were just you being nervous and then you have more space for the other unfortunate events."
