In addition to the Classic chirstmas tree, everyone loves gathering around the fireplace, ice skating, and exploring Chirstmas villages and markets.

Cod is king at Chirstmas Eve and on Chirstmas Day,for lunch,it is goat, turkey or ocutopus in the Beira Litoral area, For desert, you can’t miss the bowls, “papas de carolo” and vermicelli.

The tradition in our country is to decorate the fir trees on the first Sunday of Advent , therefore the fourth Sunday of December .Families gather on the evening of the 24th to celebrate new Year's Eve .Around 11:30 p.m. the little children go to bed. During the nigth "Santa Claus " leaves the presents, and on the morning of the 25th (the next day) they unwrap them. We hope you had a great Christmas and a happy new year.
