These revolts and uprisings largely occurred in ghettos were the Jewish population was not yet beaten and broken by the horrors brought upon them. One of these stories was in the Warsaw ghetto where in April of 1943, a group of armed Jews in Warsaw revolted after hearing that the Germans were planning to kill them off. Molotov cocktails and several other improvised weapons were used against tanks, with the German forces taking over a month to take the ghetto and deport all in it.
