Crossing The Threshold

Crossing the threshold of the stereotypical middle school world to a ominous high school one was extremely nerve racking. At first, high school felt like a disorienting environment where it was every man for himself. But that quickly changed as I met up with old friends and made new ones. This illustrates crossing the threshold because I traversed from the old world to a new one.

My abyss in first semester was the few weeks that led up to finals. I was extremely worried about my grades and all the homework and projects did not help. The finals themselves were a huge challenge because they were worth 15% of your grade. I stayed up late nearly every night trying to cram knowledge into my brain. This illustrates the "abyss" because it was a period of time where I was the most stressed or even tramatized.

Gift of The Goddess

The gift of the goddess in my opinion was the awesome three week winter break that we got. Three weeks is ample time to replenish our energy and relieve some stress. This symbolizes the gift of the goddess because we just battled the evil incarnate known as the finals. This is out gift as we prepare to return to school the following semester.

Call to Adventure

My call to adventure began in 8th grade when I was faced with either going to San Marcos High school or a private school. I was faced with a hard decision, private schools offer better education but I would have to start over "Hunting Group Companions" wise. I chose to go to San Marcos because I felt it was the write thing to do at the time. Also, the campus just got a beautiful remodeling which I could not resist.

Katniss reaches her moment of darkness when he is being hunted by the other tributes and when her ally, Rue, gets killed. Loosing Rue, among the countless other friends and family she has lost really hurts her on the inside.

Katniss receive many gifts throughout the whole movie, but the most prominent one was when Thresh allowed Katniss to escape with the special serum that saved Peeta. Thresh and Rue were from the same district and after going through hard times together, Thresh decides to save Katniss.
