If a plane full of girls had crashed instead of boys, I think a lot of things would have changed. For example the boys decided on one leader, girls wouldn't of picked a leader they would of all stayed and worked together and not split. Another example is when Jack and his hunters go out and kill the pig and cheer after they have killed it. The girls wouldn't of killed the pig how Jack and the hunters did and cheer about killing it. Girls also fight and have more drama than boys, so while they were on the island they would never agree on anything and would always fight with each other.

If the plane it was full of girls, everything they did would be ten times more of the drama. For example when the hunters first caught a pig "Kill the pig. Cut her throat. Spill her blood."(Golding 69) The girls wouldn't be saying that. They probably wouldn't have even thought about killing a pig. When the littluns are sad because they miss their moms, the boys other than Piggy don't comfort them. "... they cried for their mothers often." (Golding 59). The girls would be at their side comforting them. If girls were on the island, things would be way worse than they are now.

One way it would be different if it was a plane full of girls is that they would not have built a fire. Another way is that they probably would not be okay with using the restroom outside. See boys are fine with using the restroom outside, but for girls it is a whole different story. Another way is that girls would not be able to decide on a leader of the group, because all of them would want to be the leader. The last way it would be different is that the girls would not build a civilization at first. All they would worry about is their hair and trying to find away off the island.

If the plane consisted of all girls instead, there would be a lot of change in the book. Girls are very controlling and the majority of girls think they should be the leader so selecting a chief would be very difficult. Girls also carry almost everything they own in their purse so they could of had a mirror to help start the fire instead of glasses. When girls are stuck together for a long time, they tend to argue a lot more. I think there would be more separation between all the girls and a lot more tension like there is between Ralph and Jack.

If a plane full of girls crashed landed on the island instead of boys then everything would be totally out of control. To me I think guys get along a lot better than girls do. In the novel the guys face issues together like when the election happens at the very start, Ralph and Jack are still friends even though Ralph won. If this would be girls I feel that they would hate each other and refuse to listen to anything said. I also feel like the girls wouldn't have been able to deal with the conditions like the guys do. The island is hot and resources are scarce. The boys kill pigs for food which I feel would be even harder for the girls to do if maybe they aren't strong enough or tough enough to do so. The story would totally changed based on female personalities vs. male personalities and abilities.

If a bunch of girls were to land on the island, they would probably check there cell phone to see if they had service and when they did not have service they would compain about that. They would not know how to make any signs for resuce and they would not know how to kill or a pig or even try to becuase they would refuse to eat the pig, that would be a girly girl situation.

If there were a bunch of girls that were tomboys it probably play out as they would break up into groups, one would search for food, one wouold search for fire wood and one would get water for drinking and then make a fire, shelter, food and drinking water.

Two things that would be different is that they wouldve worked together unlike the boys, and they would have built shelters right when they got o the island.

If the island had crashed with a plane full of girls instead of boys, the events would be serious. For example when the boys have assemblies they are very loud and laugh the whole time. If it were the girls who had the assemblies it would be more serious and they would have more respect for one another. Also when the boys would make fun of Piggy for being fat and being mean towards him, the girls would of handled that situation differently. They wouldn't make fun of a fat girl. If the plane crash was filled with girls instead of boys, things would have played out much differently. They may not have actually chosen a leader, but instead split the tasks between everyone and allow everyone to have a say. Also, the area would have stayed cleaner, unlike the boys who got lazy with keeping the areas clean. Depending on the group of girls, they may have been reluctant to hunt and just eat fruits and berries the entire time they were there. The girls may have taken longer to become savage than the boys did, just because of the specific traits girls tend to have.

If the plane that crashed on the island with boy was full of girls instead, there would be a different story. When the boys first wake up after the crash they are happy and calm that there are no parents only boys, if it were girls then they would be more worried that they are all alone on an island. They would be worried about all the possible threats that the island has. Although they could survive alone, there would be much debate and jealousy of who the chief would be. Girls don't like taking orders from each other. It would also be hard because hunting plays a major role in survival; going out into the unknown and hunting with spears would not be volunteer work.

Imagine yourself being stranded on a deserted island with a group of girls ranging from six-years-old, to twelve-years-old. How do you think it would be? In my opinion, girls get things done, and they do them right. Girls stick together when things get scary, and they use each other for help. It's an unspoken agreement for all girls, you help if another girl is in trouble. Jack had gone off, and taken his group of hunters with him while Simon and Ralph stayed behind to build shelter. "D'you see? All day I've been working with Simon. No one else." (Golding 50) With a group of girls, that would not have happened. The girls would have stayed together, and used each others resources and ideas to figure out the best way to make a shelter. Girls are critical thinkers, and that's not saying boys aren't. Boys don't lean on each other for ideas or help, girls do. When Ralph calls for an assembly, the boys get a little rowdy and don't listen or take him seriously. He tried to talk but the boys just laugh. "'We need an assembly. Not for fun. Not for laughing and falling off the log--' the group of littlunson the twister giggled and looked at each other--" (Golding 79) Girls would not have done that. Although can be rude, if there is a critical situation, (like being stuck on an island) they will pay attention and try to help figure a way out.

If the plane that crashed on the island was full of girls then it would be more dramatic. They would all be worrying about how they look, complaining about everything. They would not be able to kill a pig or anything for food. Like when jack cute the pigs throat and him and the hunters were chanting, if ti were girls, they wouldn't be able to kill it. They could be more civilized then the boys, like Jack is happy that there's no one to tell him whats wrong and putting clay and stuff on him, but I couldn't see the girls turning savage that fast or at all, or putting clay and stuff all over them.

Events on the island would be very different in LOTF if it were a group of girls. One important event that would be different is that the shelters would have been built already. The argument between the guys wouldn't have happened if it was girls because they would want a safe, dry place to sleep. The girls would have kept the fire going, since they would have desire to go back home and to acquire luxuries that they no longer have on the island. Since there are no luxuries, the group of girls would keep the place tidy and clean while being stranded.

What if the Lord of Flies was not about a group of boys but girls? I see a lot of differences in this than the boys being on the island. I do not see the girls killing the pig or being as harsh as some of the boys. They may be more frightened than the boys are on the island. Also the girls might have had more people go up for the vote of chief. I think all the girls would have contributed to the construction of the shelters and I do not believe they would have striped themselves as the boys had.

I feel the events on the island would be different by 1) there are girls on the island instead of boys. 2) The girls would probably be more concerned about themselves rather than others. 3) The survival skills to find both Water and Food to survive, also shelter if needed to be built would be more difficult cause they'd be more worried about their hair. 4) The finding of a leader would probably be based on popularity instead of actual leadership skills, i mean come on who knows more people.. 5) The ability to think of a escape plan would be based around cell phone signal, there would be drama and sororities on the island washed out makeup bags. When jack thought of the conch shell to call for meetings the girls would make jewelry out of it. When Jack kills the pig the girls would eat fruit and veggies they wouldn't want to get their hands dirty.

If the plane was full of girls instead of boys the island would be set up differently. The girls would have different priorities than the boys. In the beginning of the novel when Ralph says," This is our island. It's a good island. Until the grownups come to fetch us we'll have fun." I believe that if it were girls stranded they wouldn't be thinking they would be having fun on an island in the middle of the ocean. Later in the novel on the island Ralph spots smoke from a ship on the horizon. He looks up the mountain to see if there is a fire with smoke and he didn't see any smoke so, then he ran up the mountain. When he arrived at the top he realized there was no fire. Jack let the fire go out because he was busy hunting. If that were girls on the island they would make sure the fire would never go out.

If the plane was full of girls, instead of boys, I really think the girls would have found each other a lot more quickly than the boys did. As well as set their priorities high. They'd probably have more skill when it came to building a shelter. I also believe that the girls would probably more focused on the tasks at hand. So for an example, when they had to build a fire. The girls probably wouldn't have known what to do at first, but they would eventually figure it out and find a different way to do it. The girls would have probably felt uncomfortable when it came to the heat as well, so they would make something out of their clothes.

If a plane full of girls had crashed instead of a plane full of boys I think that would be a very drastic change. There would be 100 times more complaining, and a lot more arguing. I do think they would be a little more civilized. In the book someone disappears and the boys create some monster like creature called the "beastie" if someone disappeared the girls would probably flip out. The little kids are always poorly mistreated, if there were girls on the Island this would be different because girls are definetly more caring and compassionate then boys are.

Let's us try this assignment again. As I was saying on my other paragraph, I don't want to come off as sexist while answering this question. When Jack hits Piggy I feel that fight would be more brutal if they were girls and there was no adult supervision(pg. 71). When Jack kills a pig for the first time (pg. 69), I do not think that small girls would be able to trick and kill a pig. Especially do something as gruesome as slitting the throat of another animal. I think in my personal opinion that if there were to be a pig that got killed by a girl it would be a bulky Russian female hulk named Helga. Other than that vision in my head I do not fathom females doing such a thing.

I feel that if it were girls stranded on the island instead of boys they would have more order. I feel girls think more logical in situations so i feel their would be more order and more progress. The girls i feel would not want to do the dirty work, like hunting and killing a pig, but they would probably think of a more effective easier way to get food. I feel they would maybe complain a lot more and probably wouldn't elect a chief, but maybe a form of government. If it were left to girls to keep the fire going like in the book, i feel the fire would've never have been started by them, so i feel it would've still went out.

If the plane would of crashed with girls instead of boys, the events would of been more serious. For example, when the boys have assemblies they laugh most of the time and are very disrespectful. If it were the girls in the assemblies, they would of been taking things more seriously, following the rules, and being respectful towards one another. Also, the boys are constantly picking on Piggy because he's bigger. The girls wouldn't pick on one another and they would know size doesn't matter. They wouldn't be worried about appearance, but more worried about getting rescued.

(Golding 69) If that were the girls they wouldn't of killed the pig and cheered. Another example is when the boys say " lets have a vote. Vote for chief." (Golding 22) If they were girls they wouldn't of voted for one to be chief they would of all just helped each other and stayed together.

I think they would be more civilized because the girls would always be together even exploring the island. The boys had fun playing and swimming in the island but if it was girls, they would not have fun.

Most things and events on the island would be different if it were all girls. Like how they treat the younger kids. Most females have a natural motherly instinct. Or they just have more compassion. Just more caring over all. Girls tend to think things through and think of the pros and cons more then boys do. If they do at all. When Jack decided to take the twins away from the fire it was probably an in the moment decision and he did not think of the fire. A girl would probably think it through. If they were girls then they would probably have a lot more drama. And if there were any physical conflicts like the boys had it would probably be all hair poling because that`s how most girls fight. Overall if it were girls instead of boys I think it would not be so out of control the way it was at the end of chapter 5.
