Mentoring clearly plays a key role in sustainability. I think it's not always possible for a certain research project to continue as it was, but the continued reflectivity and new way of working with our students are also evidence of sustainability, in my view. I also really enjoyed hearing about Martha's research and how she encourages teacher learners to engage with and enact pedagogy for autonomy - a core part of what it means to learn and develop.

I loved how inclusive and diverse the topics and ideas were! The discourses on inter-cultural awareness, decolonization of English teaching, looking at the classroom with critical views/lens, and especially on the idea of the need of having own epistemology of Global South was really enlightening.

Definitely teacher reserch is an empowering tool for all teachers. But they should be encouraged to research while training so that it is seen as part of their life as future professionals.
