"Zombie" is a rock song wrilten and interpreted by the group Cramberries created in te 90s , the song dels xith the death pf two children during the desaster of the wanington bonbings. Indeed, in 1993, there were bonbings attacks caused, in several England cities, by the IRA (Irish Republican Army) witch was a military force that advocated the unification between Ireland and Nothern Ireand, and the retreat of the British force in he Nothern Ireland. In this song, the singer Dolores O'riordan, denounces the violence and the cruetly of the soldiers who where responsible for these bombings as they killed a lot of innocent people that includes the two children mentionned in the lyrics. We're going to analyze the end of the song composed of the last chorus and last verse.

In the first lines of the last chorus, the artist makes allusion to one the first conflicts between Irish unionists and British government : the Easter Rising in 1916. So, it shows the song aims to the IRA.
In the next lines, the group points out the head of the terrorists which represents their spirit and their mentality. The group gives also a description of what the terrorists where supposed to think and imagine during the bombings : the two children are associated to violent soldiers who are fighting in a war with various weapons and military
equipment like guns, bombs and tanks. Moreover, we can notic the word "bombs" is repeated twice to produce an ironic effect on terrorists thoughts.
Furthermore, we can find an anaphor that rebounds on the expression "in your head, in your head". This anaphor strenghtens the fact the song is mainly focused on terrorists's point of view. However the second part of the anaphor depicts the reality in wich the childre "are dying". The anaphor is interesting as it exposs the fact the terrorists didn't make any difference between dying children or dying innocents and ennemy military forces. In fact, the last chorus reflects the monstruosity of the terrorists.
Finally, in the last verse, the singer introduces again the expression "in your head" but its repetition is followed by the word "zombie" wih is also repeated as she wants to assimilates the terrorists to zombies due to the crazyness of their acts and their inhuman behavior. The two last lines of the final verse is a repetitions of the firs two lines but O'riordan adds her incomprehensin in front of these acts by an interrogative form "what's in your head, in your head" Morever, the word used to designate the terrorist is the title.
To conclude, the song expresses the abudism and the violence of the troubles between the 60s and the 90s. Thes power of this song resides in protesting becauses the group gave to their audience strong and symbolic but horrifying pictures from the realiy of war.
