The MCAT is a computer based test that takes approximately 7 hours to complete. It consists of multiple choice questions and is divided in four sections.  Each section of the test is scored using a range between 118 and 132, with a median score of 125. You will receive a total score for the test (where the maximum score possible is 528 and the average is 500), as well as scores for each individual section. 

Some graduate programs may require you to take the GRE Subject Test, which will also evaluate your knowledge of a specific field such as biochemistry, English literature, chemistry, or psychology. Therefore, make sure you are registered to the right form of the test. 

The LSAT contains five 35-minute sections of multiple choice questions and an essay component. There are two logical reasoning sections, one analytical reasoning section, and one reading comprehension section. The last section is used to pre-test new questions and therefore, doesn’t count. As well, the essay will not be scored, but will be sent to the program you are applying to, and they might use it for their admission process. The multiple choice questions aim to evaluate students reading comprehension, analytical and logical reasoning skills.  It takes about 3 and half hours to complete this admission test. The scores obtained on the LSAT can vary between 120 and 180 points. The average score is about 150.
