This is a photograph which was taken by Helen Levitt probably in New York and probably in the 1930s or 1940s. It is a black and white photograph. It is a front shot, and it is a portrait. Helen Levitt was an American photographer who was interested in street photography. In this picture, I can see children whose faces are concealed because they are wearing masks. On the right, there is a woman, who is sitting beside them. I think the author's intention was to show the beauty of those poor people who lived in the poor New York neighboorhoods. I like this picture because it shows a moment of joy and happiness, in spite of poverty and social decay. it conveys an impression of joy.
