I: Hi! We're so glad of having you here!

A: It's my pleasure.

I: So, let's start. Can you tell us something about your books?

A: Of course! Well, so far I've just wrote "Decisive Treatise on the Agreement Between Religious Law and Philosophy" and "Examination of the Methods of Proof Concerning the Doctrines of Religion", but I started to work on a book that possibly is going to be called "The Incoherence of the Incoherence" I'm not sure if I'm going to change the name, but when it's published you'll see.

I: And what are this book about?

A: All of them are in defense of the philosophical study of religion against the theologians. 

I: And how do you know about all of this? What have you study?

A: I studied religious law, medicine, mathematics and philosophy.

I: And how do you feel knowing that you are one of the most important philosophers of our times?

A: To tell the truth, I still can't believe it. I've never thought I would come so far as I am now. It's really satisfying to know that my work inspire so much people.

I: Yes, I agree, even if I'm not you. (laughs)

I: And what have you done in your life before the books and all of this?

A: I was a judge, just like my father. I still am, but now my career is more as a physician and philosopher.

I: And for last, a lot of people call you as Averroës, but they also call you as Ibn Rushd. So what we all want to know, what's your real name?

A: So... My real name is Abū al-Walīd Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Ibn Muhammed ibn Rushd.

I: Wow, that's a really big name! I like it.

A: Thanks! My parents were in doubt about what name to put on me, so they mixed the ideas.

I: Cool. My name is just Abdul khalifa. Kinda boring, nah? But I like the meaning.

A: And what does it means?

I: It's means something like "Creator's servant".

A: It's not boring! Is pretty cool.
