Cheez-its, gold fish, and spaghetti o’s.

I am from ring pops,

Wheat thins, hershey bars, and doritos.

I am from smelly pencils and pillow pets,

From silly bands and Lisa Frank Folders

Everyone wanted to be your friend if you had one.

But all we have left now is getting older.

I am from laundry detergent and dryer sheets,

The smells of fresh cut grass and rain.

I am from Lysol and my mom’s perfume,

In all of it’s fame.

I am from arguing over who got which pen,

From sharing a bunk with my sister.

But we haven’t done this since I turned 10.

Now all we do incessantly fight.

Under the pale moonlight and the night stars,

With Bailee, my most cherished friend.

Lay laughing in clovers, staring up at the moon,

Waiting for our time together to end...
