• What inspires me to be a better Guide?

I have learnt many skills sets and have developed my talents through joining guides. Through the different badges and experiences girl guides has given me, I would need to really be self-directed and improve the skills I learnt in guides. One particular skill I would say is advertising (through buying cookies).

To take on leadership and participate in other HQ guide related events. Through taking on leadership I would be able to give back to the community which has given so much these years. By participating in Guide related activities, i get to learn more on how to be a guide and the true essence of guiding.

The simple thought of even being in Guides motivates me. I do not have any particular role model at this point of time who motivates me but the pride that I am in a uniformed group automatically gets me to participate in the activities in Guides.

I have learnt and want to improve on drills. I can do the basic drills but sometimes my timing is wont so I hope that with more practice, I can improve on it.

My goal for this year is to take up a leadership position. I want to work on getting patrol leader or patrol second. Moreover, I hope that I can earn more badges and improve on my skills that I have learnt in badgework that we have done.

My friends and mother inspires me to be a better guide. My mum was from guides and she was company leader, so I was also inspired to be a better guide and lead others as a company leader if I get the chance to. Moreover, my friends also inspire me to be a better guide as their enthusiasm, hard work and dedication towards this cca motivates me to do the same.

I hope to improve on my drills by executing them better and paying attention to the timing of the drills.

My goals for this year is to be more tenacious and work together well with people in girl guides. I also hope to take on a leadership role like patrol leader.

I have learnt many new skills, new ways to tie knots and lashings, new drills, new commands and many more life skills. I want to improve my ability to tie knots and maybe memorise the basic ones as well

I learnt problem solving skills. I picked up these skills while doing badge work, patrol bonding and even mass games. But, I feel that I want to improve on it.

i learnt knots and lashes and i would like to improve on that as i do not really know much about it and i sometimes struggled trying to tie it. My goals is to earn one more badge before stepping down. My juniors and the EXCO inspires me to be a better guide

i want to improve on my knots and lashes by practicing and participating more when i get the chance to tie a knot. i look up to the EXCO as tey manage the CCA well and i would like to learn more from them. some symbols of guiding is friendship, resilience and kindness.

We learnt discipline, drills, perseverance and punctuality. We can learn to be more disciplined not only in CCA, but also in our daily lives and we can make sure to do drills well which also helps to instill discipline

What inspires us to be a better guide is being a good role model for our juniors so that they can look up to us and be inspired to do the same

I learnt how to work together with my teammates and cooperate with them. I also learnt to be more inclusive and interact more with other guides. I want to contribute more to girl guides by participating more actively in the activities organised.

I want to get more badges and learn more skills in cca during badgework and other activities. I also want to make sure everyone feels included in girl guides.

Reflecting on my guiding journey:

• I learnt how to conduct an activity for the whole girl guides and work together with my teammates to carry out the activities. I want to improve on being louder and being more decisive with my instructions

• I want to improve on having more interactions with my surrounding guides, like my juniors and seniors

• Being a better role model for my juniors inspires me to be a better guide
