- In response to Eric's comment on ignorance, I disagree that living in ignorance is always okay.
- Responding to Therrance's comment about big brother, I agree that Winston had to come to the point of loving big bother because he had been forced to and was too broken down to fight back.
- In response to Farrel's question about knowledge i think that it could be dangerous if it is used for the wrong reasons, but knowledge could bring both good or bad power
- I agree with Erika that knowledge doesn't create evil, it creates individuality. Someone could have very little knowledge about the world and still want to create evil.
- Responding to Austin I agree that you can't define good and evil because it's based off of one's perspective, people tend to have different ideas of both.
- In Response to Erika's question of what drives fear, I believe that fear is driven by one's mind. You can grow your fears as far as you allow your mind to.
- I agree with Austin that fear is triggered by something that threatens your survival, showing confidence in your fear could help you face it.
-

- I disagree with Eric in that living with ignorance is just alright as living in ignorance will inherently come with giving away some personal freedoms.
- I agree with Jackson in that Winston did not truly love Big Brother but rather was too broken down by the Ministry of Love through torture, and as a result had his morals changed and was no longer the Winston we used to know.
- I agree with Erica's theory on the origin of the Ministry of Love's name, their objective is to make you 'love' big brother. I also agree with the theory that O'Brien was once in Winston's position of the one being tortured and eventually changing who they are.
- Response to Ferrell's question: Is the antithesis of evil intelligence? I would say that intelligence and the ability to question actions of yourself and others would be the antithesis of evil. I think this because the ability to question your actions and those of the people you oppose, the ability to process and question allow you to also envision yourself on the other end of what you are doing and who that influences others directly and indirectly
- Response to Erica's question: What drives fear, and is it possible to drive it out? I believe that a fear of what we envision to happen in the future whether it will happen or even if it could happen. I believe that it is possible to drive fear out by changing how you view the world or what we envision the future to be like. This could be possible through self awareness and seeing that we may be overreacting, extrapolating effects of current events too far, or by creating our own futures.
- I partially agree with Therence's statement in that you can drive out fear by either ignoring the smaller fears associated with the whole or by facing the fears head on. I do think that this is possibly true with him saying that you can overcome the smaller fears associated with the whole, though it may not be possible to do so when one's survival is at stake or when the fear is larger than life or just larger than you.
- I believe that there is a significant difference between a phobia and a fear. I believe a fear to be something that stems from the unknown while a phobia is something that stems from past events or expected events.
- Austin's Question: Does the unknown drive fear itself? I believe that it does drive fear as many people are scared of speaking to a group of people or a crowd because they do not know how the crowd will react to their statements or to their speech.
-Austin's Question: Is the American society driven by fear? Yes, it is seen that many people are scared of the police or law enforcement because of what they see online and on the news with videos and stories of police brutality. There are many people that are scared of being in crowded places because of the rising number of stories about shootings and mass murders happening throughout the world and in the United States. That influences people's decisions on what to do and what to say. Something more simple would be being afraid of being alone, many people will try and find friends or a social circle just to try and fit in and seem 'normal' or to put out an image of you being an outgoing person.

-I don't agree with Eric's view on living in ignorance for the rest of your life. To be able to explore and learn new things about life is important and living in ignorance is not a fulfilling life to live.
-I agree with Ferrell, it's tragic to think that who Winston was at the end of the novel was not really who was really him. Winston became a whole different person.
-Responding to Austen's response, knowledge is seen as power and is a skill used to survive in life.
-Answering Ericka's question about what drives fear, fear is something we all deal with and it's different for all of us. In my opinion fear is driven by the thought of failing and the lack of confidence. Such driving for the first time, you could be scared of messing up and getting into an accident.
-I agree with Therrance that it takes time to drive fear out. It's a process and not fast. I feel there's a difference between driving fear out and pushing fear away. If you push the fear away than you will struggle even more in the future dealing with the fear.
-Austen's comment about if fear is driven by the unknown, my response is that yes, I do believe fear is strongly driven by the unknown. Such as being scared of the dark, when some people say that what it really means that they are scared of what's IN the dark.
-To the comment if "Is are country run by fear" in my opinion some are fearful for doing something wrong and ending up in jail. I don't believe that overall citizens are driven by the fear of the government, only the consequence to the actions they make.
- I feel like I would take advantage of the actions that we have. We offered a lot of freedom and I'd like to take advantage of what I have.

-I agree with Erika that knowledge can be for evil but it usually isn't.
-I agree with Jackson that knowledge is power because the more you know you can have an advantage toward others that know less.
-I believe that your own mind drives fear because you get in your head and over think it and make something more than it is and I don't think you can drive it out but I think that you can maybe stop thinking about and stop giving the fear power to give you fear and don't let it be more than it really is. (Erika's question)
- I would agree with the statement that fear is driven by the unknown because one of my biggest fears is the dark simply because sometimes i don't really know what is it it or I'm also scared of the ocean because sometimes you can't see in the water and there are a lot of thing you can't see.
-I agree with Alexa and would also like to add that it all depends on perspective and views that dictate what people do or what they allow to stop them.
-I disagree with Austen's statement that a fear makes a society I think simply living cohesively with others makes a society.
-I would take advantage.( Matthew's question).
