Group 1
- older the age, the more people want to vote b/c older people are more educated/experienced with voting and party platforms.
- the country needs to focus more on getting more 18-29-year-olds to vote. How will the country do that? What issues? What is the motivation? (This also goes for people of different races.)
- there could be a language barrier for voting. How does the government help with this?
Group 6
- Depending on elections the voter turnout is not consistent.
--> based on race. The voter turnout is dependent on issues/candidates.
- There are significantly fewer people who vote than the population. What issues make people vote (depending on age group).
- An increase in voting after age 29 because people 30 and older have more settled down lives to research how to vote. Or there are more factors that affect their lives when they are 30 years old and above.
Group 5
- Female turnout for pres/midterm elections is always higher than female turnout. This could be b/c govt made up of old white men, so they want to change that. (Not just rich/male/white. Want to have female and more racial diversity.)
- Have more diversity in the government could encourage more people (especially younger groups) to vote. How can the average citizen participate more in politics?
- How can we get all groups to participate more in voting?
- People above the poverty line vote more than below because the wealthy could have more time to vote, fund the campaign, and could be business owners.
Team Awesome
- more young people need to vote because there are more younger people and older people
- There is growth in voting for the age group 18 to 29
- spike in 1992 for all races, ages, sex
Group 3
- old people have been around long enough to understand what is happening in the government, but younger people have started to go up
- How is the government going to get more younger people to vote? Education? Encourage?
- Having more people who are older and white could be less in tune with what is happening in the country.
- How do candidates be more relatable?
- Campaigns need to be focused on younger generations

Group 1: The younger population 18-29 tend to vote and regasture the least amount. While 65+ tends to be the most active in voting. The so what? is older people 65+ are more experianced there for feel more comfortable voting.
Group 6: 65% of the white community voted in 2016. There is no pattern to voter turn out, it is different every time depending on the canidates. The so what? The people running influence the race and age voter turn out.
Group 5) Women tend to registure and vote more then men. Male turn out is consistantly lower in all age groups. The so what? women may turn out more in order to have someone who better represeants women as a whole.
Group 7.) Women tend to registure and vote more then men. Male turn out is consistantly lower in all age groups. And older citizens tend to show out to vote more. Overall how is we get more people out to vote.
Group 4.) How female registartion is much higher then men's. And how in certain years all voting rates have increased. SO what? maybe the reason more people registure than actually vote is because the process can be long and complicated that people just don't go through with it.
Group 3.) One of the reason why the older generations might vote more is because older people are typically retiered, have more time on their hands, and they have been around this sytsem much longer. More young people tend to show out during elections and not mid terms.

Group two: Youngest demographic is the largest group number wise, but the smallest percent to vote. Since 2012, the youngest groups percent has continued to grow.
Group three: Older generations are voting more than younger generations because they have more time on their hands. Through time though, we have seen younger age groups to go up, especially during presidential elections.
Group four: Both male and female percent for registration and turnout follow the same pattern. Social media has a big impact on how younger generations vote, if they even vote. Voter turnout for African Americans raised above Caucasian during Obama's presidency, so if we had more diversity in government maybe more Hispanic and Other voting might increase.
Group five: Female turnout for congressional and presidential elections have always been higher. From 1993-1996 female and male turnout in presidential election has decreased by 10%.
Group six: Depending on election year, voter turnout by race is different, there's not a consistent turn out. Largest voter turnout, age wise is 18-44. Many politicians are far older than eligible voters making them unrelatable to the younger generations.

More people are eligible to vote than people who actually vote.
Group 5- Female turnout for both congressional and presidential elections has been higher than male. Haven't had a consistent voter turnout for any race.
Team Awesome- 18-29 year olds are the least likely to vote they are also the largest demographic so they need to vote. Voting rate for white people has been statistically higher could possibly be because there is a higher white population in America, there is also a spike in voting rate across all ages and races in 1992.
Group 4- People may be intimidated by voting witch could possibly lead to a lower voter turnout. Both male and female voter turnout and voter registration follow the same trends. Older generations vote more than younger generations.
