Well,my ancesters that were in Samoa, now known as American Samoa, they've been apart of the U.S since June 14,1889. How? During a war the U.S has claimed Samoa to be apart of them mainly because of their land. Basically U.S claimed Samoa apart of the United States of America in 1889 and they've been there.

There werer multiple obstacles they've been faced with the two I am going to focus on is the language and adapting. The langauge wasn't much of a struggle but it was something they had to now be familiar with. Another one would be adapting, ever since the U.S came they went to go take over most of their land and having them there seemed like they were taking apart of their culture away.
