We have to think our and other's cultural values, beliefs, traditions when we teach. it's very important to be open to other cultures and try new things. I need to work on it. The biggest challenge is to integrate diverse resources, expecially working with other collegues.

Ciao, Annalisa. I'm not familiar with your particular field: so, I'm on a need to know situation. For this reason, I fell the need for some intermediate steps, like the extraction of key data from raw material, in your lesson plan. But, again, is probably a problem of lack of competence on my side. The total amount of time of the activities in 270 minutes. I did the maths, but my maths are not exactly sharp as a razor. Sorry if I'm wrong. In the respect of developing students' intercultural competences and open mindedness - indeed not explicitly mentioned - this activity can have a powerful result (provided a significant presence of students of many cultural origins not altering their eating habits). First "read" activity seems to me a "discuss" activity in brainstorming mode. Your lesson plan is very effective in the respect of building a class community and reaching out the students' parents or relatives. The presentation and discussion of students' activities will develop the perception of belonging to a community. Alignement with learning outcomes seems OK. The activities are well balanced. There is an effective use of IT. The link to US discovery is effective if one or more students eat American food at breakfast. I hope they don't. :))

An extremely interesting work, well balanced in aims and outcomes and based on an interesting topic. I really appreciated the idea of using a virtual board.
Excellent!-Gaia

Hello, Annalisa!
I think that never before would have I thought of presenting statitistics in such a palyful and interesting manner! Pretty pioneering , the least to say..what is more your project succeeds in being both cross -cultural and cross-curricular at the same time. Keep up the good work and all the best.

Vicky Archondi
