TED Talk: A Political Party for Women's Equality

This TED Talk points out how there should be more women that need to be put in more positions of power. We as women and other feminists need to do something about it because equality won't happen by it's self. This message to me means that no women are given equal representation of power. This is important to me because I, as a young woman, know how unfair it is in the working industry. This affects my personal beliefs on the world of how unfair women have always been treated. A reason I want someone else to watch this video is because they should understand how many women are working in the big companies and how many men there are.

Two important things to know about your rights as students is that all your rights are all the same even if you're at school. Although, you can still get in trouble for missing class since in most states require to go to school.

This song is about how people have been discriminated and murdered. It's about terrorists, gangs, own's race supremacy, younger generations that are suffering from the older generation's choices and war. This matters to me because for many centuries, racial discrimination has been happening and still does today. I think it's upsetting because older people don't try to change. Most of the young people want issues to be solved and for everyone to be treated equally.
"I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders
As I'm gettin' older y'all people gets colder
Most of us only care about money makin'
Selfishness got us followin' the wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinemas
What ever happened to the love and the values of humanity?
What ever happened to the love and the fairness and equality?
Instead of spreading love we're spreading animosity
Lack of understanding leading us away from unity" - Taboo from The Black Eyed Peas

Photograph - Police Brutality on Children

This Photograph shows a little kid being beat up by two police officers while unarmed. This matters to me because I don't understand why they put their hands on an innocent kid in the street. This photograph is of year 2015 in Brazil. In the image we see police men and innocent people. This image is powerful because of the violence that is occurring. This image speaks to me because I do not stand for any type of violence. This issue matters to me because of unfairness and the police abusing their power.

They protested against gun violence and police brutality against African Americans. The significance of this event was that it brought the attention to people about racial profiling and mistreatment towards a certain skin color. I think it's important for students to participate because of getting the word out more towards the world. We as teens want the mistreatment and all the bad things to go away because when older generations make decisions, the younger are the one's who suffer. We are more diverse and open to people that come from anywhere which can lead us to a better path in the future.

The students protested by refusing to leave a public place for a few days. It's significant because they tried ending public segregation and get people to join them with their actions, not their words. I think it's important for younger teens to take action because it's affecting us, not the older generations. We get things done, even if older people think it's useless or dumb. We fight for what we think is right and that's something we won't back down on.
