Hi ! It's the first post on the blog with a picture of our group (2 persons are missing). Today we created this blog and we spoke about the timetable and the activities. Hi there ! It's us again :-)

We had a very interesting meeting yesterday and worked a lot on different topics related to our common project ! Because we've been working for a long time and finished quite late, we didn't have time to write this report during the meeting, I'm (Célia) thus exceptionally writing it (special thanks to Elouan our reporter of the day, who took notes during the whole evening !) ; next time, one of the French participant will (like last report!) We received your letters on February 23rd (just after our previous meeting !) The French participants thus took the time to answer them and brought their letters back last night: we will send them to you on Monday morning !

We talked about and handled four different issues during this meeting:

> our hopes and fears concerning this project

We thought it would be interesting to talk about our expectations as well as our fears during the preparation phase of the project. We will then compare them and see how they evolve as we get closer from our departure.

> the pros and cons of different kind of medias

We talked about four different kind of medias : newspaper articles, videos (TV), social medias & the internet in general and posters/billboards. We talked about the advantages and disadvantages of each media and split up into 4 teams. Each team came back home with some homework : prepare a presentation of our village using one of these four medias. We will then present them to you guys :-)

> the prejudices and stereotypes we had about Finland

What do we know, think, imagine about your country...? This is the question we asked ourselves... We wrote down the answers, let's see if they turn out to be true when we'll come to visit you !

Good news ! The letters from the French group were delivered in Kirkkonummi! Bad news.....the package was dammaged during transportation and 3 of the letters didn't make it.... Coraline, Noah and Maxime&Emma (who wrote one together) will have to send their letter again...
Mailing isn't always the safest option... a disappointing but interesting experience to take into consideration when we think about pros and cons of each medias .. What do you think ? :)

We had a meeting today. There we discussed about the program of the days in Helsinki. We also discussed about the same topics you had in your meeting.
- The hopes and fears concerning this project
- The stereotypes we have towards France and french people.
We answered the questions on the Q&A-board.

Thankyou for the letters. They were a nice way to get to know you. Writing the letter was fun and it was nice to receive a letter because it was the first concrete thing in this project. Now the project feels real. :) July is coming soon and it is exciting to see you!

On our next meeting we are going to see a movie and talk about the pros and cons of different kind of medias.

During the meeting, we began by reading the new post and your answers on the blog. Then, answered your questions. We presented our groupwork to the other members: a poster, a shortfilm, an article and the new instagram account https://www.instagram.com/fontanes___/?hl=fr

During the meeting, we answered all the questions that we had about the project.
We talked about the French cultural evening and we finished to organise it.
We also received one letter from Cecilia to Elise but where are the others ?

The French group left at 3am from Fontanes to take a plane from Lyon to Amsterdam and a second one from Amsterdam to Helsinki. The Finish group met at the youth house at 11am and came to get the French group at the airport.
The finish group prepared " karjalanpiirakka" (rice pie).The Finish group gave the French group a tour of their youth house. We played name games outside for the presentation.
Then we had some free time and then we went to bed ! Long day !

Today we did photo marathon. In this game we walked around Masala and took pictures of different themes. Example joy, oldness and love. It was funny. And the Finish group showed Masala to the French group. Juha led us some fun groupbuilding outdoor games. We ate pizza. It was very yummy. We wrote down in the learning tree what are our expectations and what we want to learn in while we are here. For example we want to learn how to work in groups where are peoples from other country and new languages. And we are waiting for going in Linnanmäki and Helsinki and we are waiting for going to the swimming-pool. Greetings to our families that everything is great. <3

Today we talked about social media and how teenagers use it. We draw a typical teenager and what medias they use. In the afternoon we did some spray painting. It was fun and creative. It was the first time doing that for the most of us.
Then there was a girl telling us about blogging. She has a blog with her mom. It was interesting to hear how to blog. After that we had a lot of free time and the finns took the french around the town.
It was a fun day and we had a lot to do. We are really looking forward to going to Helsinki and to the beach day tomorrow.

Today we had a nice day.
In the morning we stalked each others in social media. We realized how much information anyone can get from our accounts.
In the afternoon we went to swim in the lake near the youth house. True finnish experience. The nature was really beautiful.
When we came back we did an activity about fake news. We had to create pictures of the holidays we have never been to. Some of us went to New York, others to Hawai. You can see the pictures below. The editing was a bit difficult because we didn't have proper editing programs, but we had fun doing it and we learned that it is important to check the reliability of the information we get.

Today we did something different.
We woke up early to go to Lähteelä. There we went swimming and we made food with trangias (camping gaz). After that, we walked to the birdtower. There we saw an amazing view and a lot of trees. Then we took a bus and came back to the youth house for a coffee break. After dinner the French group prepared the French evening. In the French evening, Finnish group, their parents and one dog got to taste french food, saw a sketch and be a part of a quiz. After the parents and the dog left, Finnish group got to dance some typical french dances and one typical Finnish dance. We had a great day and the weather was on our side.

Helsinki; Finland July 13th and 14th 2018

We slept in a hotel Ava in Helsinki. Eventhough the building looked old the rooms were really nice. We visited the Päivälehtimuseo, which was a museum about the history of the popular finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat. In Helsinki we also visited Linnanmäki amusementpark. On saturday we visited Suomenlinna and in the afternoon we did a bit shopping and went to the Allas Sea Pool for a swim.

Paris; France July 15th, 16th, 17th 2018

On Sunday we had the travellingday from Finland to France. The journey was long but we were excited to see Paris. In the evening we watched the footballgame. We went to the Montmarte. There was a lot of atmosphere because the French won the championship of football!

On monday we had a day in Paris. We saw for example the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame, the Champs Elysee. We walked all day long! Joel thinks that the shops we did a littlebit shopping were cheap.

On tuesday we left from the hostel. (The hostel was nice but the beds felt like hospital beds XD ) We took the metro to the trainstation and took the train to Lyon.

We made mailboxes.
The group was divided in two and they were seated on the opposite sides of the table. Everyone was given an paper, where they put their name. The people on the other side of the table stayed in place and the people on the other side drew one thing and then they moved to sit in front of the next person. The leader said what we needed to draw: Chin, mouth, cheeks, ears...
