         <description><![CDATA[<div>Jazz started when slaves would go to the fields and would sing work songs which would be in the genres of gospel and spiritual songs. Sometimes they put a jazz twist on songs like stars and stripes forever by John Philip Sousa.The Navy Jazz band plays at major jazz festival like the New Orleans Jazz festival which is one of the biggest jazz festival in the world. They also played at the&nbsp;University of delaware Jazz festival.</div>]]></description>

On new year's eve in 1912 Louis's stepfather was arrested and Louis was sent to the Colored Waif's Home for boys.There he learned about music.later he was invited to join the Creole Jazz Band. In 1967 he  recorded "What a Wonderful World".  </div>]]></description>
