• Report text definition
Report text is an English text which presents information as it is. What does it mean? So the contents of the report text provide information regarding an object, which can be in the form of an animal, place, incident or something else in general and in accordance with the condition of the object. For example, the object is damaged, then the contents of the text will tell the state of the object is not in good condition.

• Structure and Language Rules of Report Text
Report text has a structure as a general classification and description .
1. General classification
The general classification is in the first paragraph. In these paragraphs will discuss general aspects related to the object to be written. For example plants, animals, places, objects, and others.
2. Description
The description will be in the second paragraph until it's finished. In it there is a discussion that will be more detailed and there will be several sections. For example the characteristics of an animal, then its habitat, then its food and so on.

• The linguistic rules in report text include the use of simple present tense and logical connectors .
 1. Simple present tense
The simple present tense is a sentence with a verb pattern that describes the situation in the present. Example:
“People, with a television set in their houses, can sit and watch the president makes a speech or visits a foreign country.”
2. Logical connector
Logical connectors are conjunctions used to connect an idea, word or phrase with another idea, word or phrase. Example:
“...can sit and watch the president makes a speech or visits a foreign country.”

1.Klasifikasi umum
Struktur pertama merupakan bagian pertama yang berisi mengenai beragam informasi umum berdasarkan hasil pengamatan yang telah dilakukan oleh penulis, hasil pengamatan tersebut dapat berupa hewan, fenomena alam, tumbuhan dan topik-topik lain secara detail.

2. Deskripsi
Struktur kedua dari report text berada di paragraf dua serta memiliki fungsi yang sama dengan descriptive text yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan lebih dalam mengenai detail dari hasil penelitian penulis secara terperinci.

•Unsur Kebahasaan / Language Feature Report Text
-Selain generic structure, report memiliki unsur kebahasaan atau language feature yang perlu Anda ketahui. Berikut beberapa language features yang perlu Anda ketahui.

-General nouns, menggunakan kata yang merujuk pada suatu hal secara umum. Contohnya dog, lion, atau penyebutan hewan lain secara umum tidak spesifik seperti my dog dan lain sebagainya.
Relating verbs atau linking verbs, contohnya is, am, are, look, seem, taste dan lain sebagainya.
Timeless present tense, menggunakan penanda waktu simple present tense. Contohnya usually, often, always dan lain sebagainya.

Untuk menggambarkan keadaan, dengan referensi untuk mengatur fenomena alam, buatan, dan sosial di lingkungan kit

Definition of Report Text
Report text is usually equated with descriptive text, because both types of text inform or describe something. However, these two texts are different, to be able to distinguish between the two report texts and descriptive texts, you need to know the meaning of report text first.

 Structure
1. General classification
The first structure is the first part which contains various general information based on observations made by the author, the results of these observations can be in the form of animals, natural phenomena, plants and other topics in detail.

2. Description
The second report text structure is found in paragraph two and has the same function as descriptive text, namely to describe in more depth the results of the author's research in detail.

 Language Feature  
1. General nouns, use words that refer to something in general. For example dog, lion, or other generally non-specific denominators like my dog   and so on.
2. Relating verbs or linking verbs, for example is, am, are, look, looks, tastes and so on.
3. Timeless present tense, using the simple present tense time marker. usually for example, often, always and so on.
4. Technical terms, using terms related to the topic or text of the discussion report. For example, if you make a report text about animals, then in the report text there must be terms or mentions about animals.
5. Introduction of general groups or aspects, using language that introduces the subject or object of research in general.

 Characteristic Features 
1) In general, report text uses scientific language
2) Report text is dominated by using the simple present tense.
3) The title of the report text is and will appear general. An example of climbing a mountain is not a mountain climber club.

Report text is a report in the form of text which presents information about something that is or is actually the result of analysis or systematic research. This text has one of the types of writing in English.

The Javan rhinoceros ( Rhinoceros sondaicus ), also called the axis rhino , the Sunda rhinoceros (according to its Latin name) or the lesser one-horned rhinoceros, is a member of the Rhinocerotidae family and is one of five extant rhino species .
-Description
Indian rhino, which belongs to the same genus, has a mosaic skin resembling armor, which bears a close resemblance to the Javan rhinoceros despite its larger size. The Javan rhinoceros is 3.1–3.2 m long and 1.4–1.7 m high.
