The Chinese influenced how the people did things. The Qin was very war-like, but the Confucious-following leaders were more peaceful. The people reflected their leaders. They needed to respect them to willingly work for them. And how people worked affected how much the society grows. Before the Gupta's had taken over Asoka had used spies to gather more top secret information from the cities.  The Gupta's have also helped the city learn advance mathematics and art.
