         <description><![CDATA[<div>Older people need more calcium due to their low bone density from aging. They need to keep their bones healthy especially at their age. Most importantly, the elderly need more vitamin D. Vitamin D is in charge of helping the body use calcium. Foods such as fish, cheese, and eggs have a lot of vitamin D. People older than 50 do not get enough vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 in crucial if you want to keep your nerves and blood cells healthy. To keep you vitamin B12 up, you can eat a lot of lean meat and some seafood. Potassium is also needed in an elderly persons diet because it helps lower your risk of high blood pressure which is common in most </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It's not uncommon for older adults to be active in their older years. They need exercise because as you age, your muscles and joints begin to weaken and it gets harder for you to exercise without pain. Because of that pain, it causes the elderly to stop exercising. What they do not know is that exercise actually helps with muscle aches. Exercising in your later years can decrease your chances of getting cancer, heart disease and diabetes which is common when you are older. For an elderly person, walking, climbing stairs and gardening are ways that an older person can exercise. You can do many exercising while sitting like stretching. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A recipe for an older person is banana split oatmeal. Banana split oatmeal has a lot of potassium from the bananas which is needed in an elders diet. Oatmeal contains some fiber which is also needed to lower your risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. The recipe has yogurt in it which has your dose of vitamin B-12 that they need. The recipe calls for:</div><ul><li>1⁄3 cup oatmeal, quick-cooking (dry)</li><li>1⁄8 teaspoon salt</li><li>3⁄4 cups water (very hot)</li><li>1⁄2 banana (sliced)</li><li>1⁄2 cup frozen yogurt, non-fat</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
