Another reason why digital data is pirated is because somethings certain shows/movies are not available in certain regions around the world. For Example, India has a mobile only version that cost approximately 3 USD, I think this would be very popular if offered in the US. 

Since corporations have issues with digital piracy, they should team up and fight against this cause together. They could put together strong teams to fight it.
