Client ambulates towards a chair in the center of the room and performs a stand to sit keeping R hand stabilized on the walker. Once seated, client performs sit to stand mod independence by stabilizing R hand on counter. Client angled body toward R side facing the counter. Once in standing position, client doffs jacket by using R arm to reach overhead and pulls jacket off first on L side followed by R side. Vital signs were taken prior to standing. Client was provided quad cane to assist with standing. Therapist stood on client's affected side. Therapist blocked client's right knee and gripped gait belt. Client pushed with non-affected side off bed and grasped quad cane with left hand. Client required min assist to stand. Vital signs were taken once standing while therapist stabilized client with gait belt holding. Therapist instructed client to reach back for bed to sit. Client required min assist to sit. Pt. needed mod assist with stand. Pt. used right arm to slightly push himself up. Pt. balance not WFL during first stand and needed CGA. Pt. sat back in chair with min assist with good control of his body. Pt progressed each trial of STS with 3 STS.
