Meaning is constructed and expressed through situations that carry a greater meaning and message than perhaps is initially clear from the specific situation of the given literature: they have meanings that go beyond the particular narrative, and can be discovered by immersing oneself into a text.
4. Language use varies according to the conventions of different text types. Writers may also choose to defy those conventions for effect.
5. Structure can affect meaning by altering the way we interpret words, giving certain words greater significance than they otherwise would have. The most obvious literary form that comes to mind here is poetry, where the structure of the poem plays a significant role in the message.
