I really enjoyed tattooing the banana because it was quite the unique and fun experience, and I actually found it quite cool, so even though my arts skills may not be the best I may try it again in the future.

The creative type I got was the thinker, I agree with some of the stuff it mentions, and I think knowing what my creative type will help me in how I approach creating, the fact that I am always looking for meaning and that I am curious is something that helps me a lot to research and try new stuff even if its something outside my comfort zone.

The biggest improvement I could do next time to have a better result when doing a banana tattoo is to have more consideration for space since the drawing is not on flat surface, but instead on a 3D object, so I have to make all the drawings be connected and/or have their own space where you can understand where one drawing starts and the other ends.

We had to draw an abstract sculpture from different perspectives, we had less time for each perspective and we couldn't lift up our pencils while drawing. This was a very difficult task for me because the fact that the sculpture was abstract made it difficult to understand how to draw it, also the limited time and not being able to lift up our pencils were increased challenges.
After we had to do the same but this time we could lift up our pencils and we had to use different colors making overlapping drawings of the different perspectives, I found this task to be more easy than the previous one.

Personally I didn't enjoy that much the first task, since I was struggling most of the time, the second task in contrast was more engaging, and entertaining for me, because even if the drawing was not the best (due to my lack of skill) I still enjoyed the activity and liked the final result

This Mind Map was supposed to be about us and to represent us, I have a lot of things that I like, so I had multiple ideas and things that I wanted to include in my mind map, the problem was that since my drawing skills are not the best I struggled to put my ideas into paper, and often the image I had of the drawing in my head was much better than the actual result, nonetheless I still think that even though there are somethings that I don't like and that I wish I could change, there are also somethings that I am proud of and liked how they turned out. Creating the mind map was a good way of learning how to create something from nothing, and it was fun since I could express myself and do whatever I liked without having any requirements/restrictions.

It was quite difficult for me to start working on my final drawing, I tried multiple ideas but none of them convinced me, putting "thinker" into a drawing, wasn't an easy task, such an abstract and abroad theme left me confused since the only inspiration I could get was from the word and the creative type, but once I was able to finally get a good idea it was a fun process, it took me a really long time to finish it, and sometimes it was frustrating when I didn't make progress. But, I think that it was worth it, I am proud of the result and I definitely think, this was the best drawing out of all I have done during this unit. This drawing put all my creative skills into work and I will never forget the experience I had while creating it.

Doing the portrait of Sandra was one of the hardest things I have done in arts, since we had a very short amount of time, and the other person was drawing us at the same time (so they were moving) it was really difficult for me to draw properly and I have to admit all my drawings turned out quite badly, this wasn't my first time doing portraits of a classmate, but during my last time I only had to draw them from one perspective and I had 30 minutes to do so, so the difference in quality between that portrait and the 4 I did of Sandra is abysmal. I still laugh a lot while trying to draw Sandra, and even though I am embarrassed of my drawings, I also find them funny and everyone laugh when they looked at them, from this experience I learned that I still have a lot to learn before I can draw properly with such a short time limit. So I will try to learn during my free time how to draw people and objects from different perspectives, so that next time I won't struggle as much.

This was my second favorite lesson (first being the banana tattoo), I had so much fun trying different materials, seeing how they felt, and then drawing them and describing them in my journal. I was also able to have fun going wild and I like how the page looks with all the colors and the diversity of materials I used to create it. I know the drawings are not the best, but they look decent and I am happy with that result, I still have a lot to improve but little by little I do feel like I am making progress and that makes me quite happy.

The most important improvements I could do to my work next time is using colors in a better way, I don't really use contrast and I still feel like my drawing lacks a lot of color, but compared to the previous drawings I have done during this unit, in this one I tried new things by using colors in an unconventional way, so I am proud that I went out of my comfort zone, and I will continue trying to do it in the future.

During this lesson we used different graffiti pencils and tried them by doing a 3D object, I learned how important the thickness of a pencil is and how it can changed drastically the quality of your work, also by using the right one you can save a lot of time, I really liked how my drawings turned out, and I could easily see the difference between using 3B and 5H for example. I will try to start incorporating what I learned from this lesson into my future drawings to improve the quality of my works, and become a better artist. I hope in the future we will continue doing activities like this which are fun, simple and teach us very useful techniques

By doing this research I have discovered that the majority of artists (if not all have) have an art journal or something that resembles one.

I also learned the importance of arts journals, how they let you understand more deeply the artist, their minds, their creative process, and why do they do the things they do. Now I understand why people study so much the arts journals of famous artist, since they can find lots of information on them, can gain inspiration and they will improve their artistic skills by having a deeper understanding of how arts work, and how famous artists approach their artworks.

Lastly, I learned how arts journals/visual diaries should look like, and with the new knowledge I have gained I will make sure my visual diary during the next unit has the elements that I found out where important (sketches, drawings, thoughts, notes, reflections, etc.)

We tried out water colours during this lesson, we were free to play around with them and do whatever we wanted, so it was a lot of fun, since the colours that come out of water colours are very beautiful, I really enjoy these type of activities because I am able to learn something new in a fun way.

We also had to draw the water colour container, I initially thought that we were doing this to improve our artistic skills, but I actually realised that not only does it help to get use to using real life objects as reference, but also it helped me connect to the water colours more, since I payed attention to all the details of the water colour container, making me appreciate it more.

I liked using water colours because they are easy to use and you don't need a lot of them since you can just combine them. Also is easy to make different colour shades, since you just need to add water to make the colours lighter. I will definitely keep water colours in mind now that I have tried them out, since I really enjoyed the experience and I think my art pieces can benefit from them.

Even though my drawings were pretty simple, I like how they look, since during the process the colours were vibrant, giving life to the drawings I had made. But after one week the drawings lost some colour, making them stand out less, so even though I was quite happy with how they look originally, now that the colours are not as vibrant I don't like the result as much.

Reflection Box Decorating

During this lesson we decorated boxes which will be used during our school's winter concert.

I was able to decorate 2 separate boxes, the first one I did it by myself, while the second one I did it in collaboration with two of my classmates.

I hadn't done an activity like this since I was around 8 years old, so while I was making the first box I felt really nostalgic to when I was a kid and used to do activities such as this, thanks to that I also was able to see how much my craft skills have developed, I had a lot of fun imagining different shapes until I choose the final one.

I liked how the box turned out, it wasn't perfect and you could see the cuts in the tape, but I still really liked how it looked and I was proud of it, I had a lot of fun doing this, and I hope we continue doing more activities similar to this one, since that way I can develop other skills outside of my drawing/coloring skills, that are the ones that we usually develop while working.

For now this has been my favorite work of this second unit, and I have high expectations for what is yet to come.

E-portfolio discussion reflection

During this lesson we discussed what the e-portfolio is about, how to make it, what we should include in it, etc. For us to further understand this the teacher showed us examples of previous portfolios which got graded differently, this was really helpful since it gave us an insight into how our e-portfolio should be and how to be successful while making it.

Also our teacher was very helpful and taught us about things such as Olimpia, Mane and Pandora Box which are things we can consider to include in our e-portfolio, thanks to this now I have a better idea of how to start my e-portfolio and what topics to talk about.

The teacher also emphasised how important it is to include citations into our work so I will make sure to include multiple sources and references since that will improve my grade, I will also include a cover since in one of the examples that the teacher showed us the student was missing the cover, and if she had included it she would have gotten a perfect grade.

Overall this lesson was really helpful to understand what the e-portfolio is about and how to make a successful one, I am really thankful that we spend this time discussing this and I will use what I learned to my advantage

Art Poster

Creating this poster was as really fun experience as I was able to present my art in a way that I liked, and also by making a poster about an arts exhibition or my work, I felt like a true artist.

Outside of that, creating the 3D exhibition on the website was also really interesting and engaging, it was a bit hard to understand well what I had to do at first, since everything was new and the website is not that intuitive, but once I understood how I worked it was really easy.

Seeing my artworks be displayed on a 3D environment was surreal because I would have never expected to see my artwork displayed, even if only digitally, and I definitively loved that.

This unit was really short, but I still found it enjoyable and think that it allowed me to learn more about how artist feel, and the proudness that it gives you once your work is displayed.

Overall, my art journey this year was quite the rollercoaster, I would have never thought I would like arts as much as I did, and although I am aware that I am far from being a good artist, I still saw a lot of evolution throughout the year, and there are some works that I can not even believe that they are mine, I think I have learned a lot, and I want to pursue art as a hobby in the future, I believe art is an excellent way to express one self, and it allows you to show the world how you feel and what you think without having to use worlds, which I find wonderful.

Art is truly one of the best things humanity has created, and it gives me hope that mankind is not as bad as it seems, art has been with for million of years, and I am sure that it will continue to be until the end.

I am very grateful to our teacher for everything she has taught us, and I find it sad that next year I will not have arts anymore, but that does not mean I will give up on it, that is a promise I make to myself.

In conclusion, arts went from a subject I thought was not that necessary, to a subject I hold in my heart and fell in love with, I find it regretful that I did not noticed how wonderful art was before, but I think that is never too late.
