Skip to 1681 King Charles&nbsp;2 gave William Penn land later known as Pennsylvania to repay a debt that owed to William Penn's father this land became known as "Penn's Woods." William promised complete religious freedom to all people who lived in Pennsylvania as long as they believed in god. He died in 1718, although he died poor, he had created one of the most successful of the thirteen colonies.</div>]]></description>
