Maam, before travelling from pune my mom was very ill. So I made hot, crispy cheese sandwich and gave it to my parents. The hot melted cheese sandwich made my mom better and she praised me. In my life first time I made sandwich. After my mom ate the food I ate it. It was yum. I wish that you all were there to taste my tasty sandwich.

The moment was precious for me. I distinctly remember the achievement. The medal I achieved was of the Science Olympiad (SOF). During that time I was in 1st grade in Blossom Public School. When it was the day to declare the winners, I was in my class studying unknown about what was in the offing. Soon, I was asked to go down where the assembly used to take place. I felt my heartbeat fast and I was bouncing off the walls. The runner ups were announced, I stood second. I was overwhelmed with happiness. I really felt as if I lived the quote ‘Don’t wait for the perfect moment, take the moment and make it perfect’. Everybody was full of the joys of spring that day, praising me….that moment is remarkable for me. 🙂

Sharv Pai-How I achieved all of my Olympiad Medals (SOF) Std I, II, and V. Proud Moments in my Life

It all began in Std 1, I was in Indira National School that time. My father registered me for the SOF Olympiad. I was nervous that time as it was my first time applying for something like this.

The first exam was ISKO (International Sports Knowledge Olympiad). They provided us with 2 sheets- One was the Question Sheet and the Second one was the Answer sheet on which we had to darken the correct option. I was totally confused so instead of darkening the correct option on the answer sheet I ticked the options on the question sheet 🤣🤣🤣. Then after I finished solving the paper I just rechecked it and read the instructions. To my horror it said that we had to darken the correct option on the answer sheet. Lucky for me a little time was left and I was able to mark all the correct options. The day when the results came out I told my parents about what had happened during the exam (answer sheet confusion). My mother started to scream at me like "SHARV!! How could you, why did you not read the instructions carefully before answering the test!!! I am sure they must have disqualified you" and I didn't know what to say. We put my user id and password to check the my result. After we saw the result my jaw literally dropped!! I had placed 1st in the whole school (1st std). We were speechless. I burst out crying tears of joy for almost half an hour. Unfortunately that year for that exam they weren't giving medals.

The next exam where I scored a medal was IEO (International English Olympiad). This too was in 1st Std. This time around I had a little self-confidence in myself after getting to know my result in ISKO. I came into the exam hall prepared for answering the test. But as always after solving the test I started second doubting myself. I rechecked the paper and felt that some questions might have been wrong so I erased almost 40-50% of the questions and resolved them. I placed second in the school this time around I tied with one of my best mates of that time Sohan he also placed second. We were in the same class that time, so it was a proud moment for our class. We both were praised by our teachers and our classmates

This time I was in 2nd Std. That year I achieved medals in 3 exams- IEO (International English Olympiad), IGKO (International General Knowledge Olympiad) and NSO (National Science Olympiad). I answered the exams with full confidence and hoped for a good result. Unfortunately this time the bad thing was BAD!!! I got Pneumonia and was bed ridden and couldn't attend school for 2 whole weeks😩😩😩😩. My bad luck was the the medal giving ceremony was during those 2 weeks. Due to that I was given my 3 medals in 3rd Std. I placed 4th in IEO, 4th in IGKO and 5th in IGKO. I was awarded the 'Medal of Distinction'

Next medal I have achieved (not received it yet though😑😑😑) was in 5th Std. I placed 2nd in the class behind Kavya C. in IEO. It said that I will be awarded a Gold Medal (even though I placed 2nd 🤔🤔🤔). Hope I will receive it when our School reopens🤗🤗🤗🤗.

Achieving all of these medals has truly been one of my most proud moments!!! Hope I can achieve more in the near future.

-Sharv

P.S.- To view the medals click on the PDF.

A lovely and perfect day for an unplanned trip. It was Diwali and the day of Padwa when we all were tired after the preparation and enjoyment, decided suddenly to visit our deity temple which indeed was far. Having been thinking, "after all gala time why not have more?" Quickly we dressed up and off we went! We prayed and then back home in time. All these small trips make great memories after all...And another one has been added up to my list of remembrance!
