Hollis thinks that Josie is a good person and they like each other. Josie and Beatrice love that Hollis can draw. In the book she took care of Josie at the Regan's summer house. They left Josie's house because Hollis said that she would take care of Josie so that Beatrice could go on vacation. Hollis did not want to leave Josie alone because she forgets a lot of things. In chapter 8 the mustard woman said, “Mrs. Cahill is old, she has a tendency to forget.” and she told Hollis that she was going to go live with Eleanor. So Hollis took Josie and Henry to the summer house. Hollis likes Josie because she stayed to take care of her. Then later in the book Steven and Hollis meet again. Then Hollis calls Beatrice and asks her to come home, and Steven calls Izzy and Hollis talks with her. In chapter 17 Hollis says, “It's me, Izzy. Do you think I could come home?” Then Hollis goes to live with the Regans and they are all a family. Beatrice comes back and moves in with Josie to live with her.
