My name is Naima Akther. I was born in Bangladesh and moved to the Bronx at age 8. English is actually my third language - my first two were Bangla and Hindi respectively. I began learning English after moving to the USA so I feel I can strongly relate to my ELL learners. 
I spent the past few years teaching English abroad in Thailand and Malaysia. I love traveling and hopefully can continue to travel & teach again soon.
